Pete, If a hose holds gas it should be ok with contact with oil too, right? If so, check marine shops; I needed a hose for my filler tube on an old truck and nobody had one. Finally found some at a place that sold boats and marine supplies. Even had metal spiral thru the rubber to prevent collapse.

I just replaced both my door locks last month. Just order a set from team cherokee. Two tips: The rubber washer they give didnt fit. I couldnt get the lock far enough in to get the retainer clip back on. Might want to pick up a little rtv incase you have the same problem. There is a black rubber access plug on the side of the door. If you pop that out you can get a long screw driver in there and against the retaining clip. Hit the screw driver with a hammer to pop the retaining clip off. There isnt much room in there to pull them off and after 20 years they don't want to come off.

Didnt someone else just hane this same problem and it turned out he needed a new booster.

I have an 89 pioneer. Did you use a light from an XJ or an MJ? Can you post a pic of the plug in your 89? or explain where its at?

I have seen a few people put the XJ retractable lights in their MJ. Is there a plug for it to plug into or do you have to splice it in somewhere?

This upgrade is slowly creeping to the top of my list. :deal:

My paint is really faded and want to try and buff some life into it. What type of pad should I get? What should I put on the pad? Do you let the full weight of the buffer sit on the truck? or should I just buy one of those products you rub on with a cloth?

Pete. "could not insert search results" was part of the error message. I only typed in water pump then i tried optronics to see and that didnt work either. I will try again now. BRB It seems to be working again now.

I copy then paste it to my anabolex account and it always comes back undeliverable. :dunno:

Everytime i copy the craigslist email thing to my email and send it it comes back undeliverable. When i click on it in craigslist it asks me server info and stuff. Do i need to fill all that out?

I'm pretty sure thay are different but not positive.

Are you saying to cover the entire cable w/ grease before you put it in? or just the end where it connects to the cluster?

Will a 99 xj trac bar and frame bracket fit on an 89 MJ?

The gauge and light use different sensors. With swapping in a full cluster, the oil pressure sender and temp sender would have to be replaced. I guess i should have added that part. My bad. :oops:

If the idiot light isnt working it could be the temp control sensor is bad or a bad bulb. You colud always get a new cluster w/ gauges.

I think they do lose their ride. They had brothers on once and figured which ever one won would just give the car back so they made the loser put it up for sale on ebay.
