  1. For the front you need lomger sway bar links, longer bump stops, and at 4.5 you may need lower control arms. and relocate your trac bar Are you adding spacers to the front too? You will probally get more than 4.5 in the back with the SOA.
  2. Welcome back. Now lets see the jeep

    Damnit

Thats a moms way of saying its in decent shape but i still want it out of my drive way.
  4. After reading this post on JF I won't be surprised if they don't want to do anything: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=441808
  5. Go under the jeep and grab the trac bar while someone sits in and turns the wheel. When you hear the clunk you will probally feel the trac bar jump. Or just hit the nut with some PB blaster, pull the cotter pin and try tightening it.
  6. My MJ was doing the same. Loud clunk and loose steering. Wheel constantly moving while driving straight. my trac bar was extremely loose. tightened it and it felt like a new truck. My wife took it a couple days after i tightened it and was like what did you do to your truck? The hole in my frame bracket is ovaled out so i think i need to replace the bracket.
  7. Is the cable that goes from the pedal to the splitter getting hung up on something? Maybe where it exits the cab
  8. Which yoke is it that you can put on the MJ driveshaft for a few more inches? is it the TJ or YJ?
  9. Rockauto.com has great prices and teamcherokee.com is good because like JT said they are the same from the cab forward.
  10. You never see someone with "try the search function". I hate that. If everyone searched knowone would ask a question. I don't mind answering the same question more than once.
  11. Just order them from teamcherokee.com
  12. I got the rustys airtube and seems to have helped my truck with accelerating. I had a bit of a dead spot in the pedal that cleared up. I am now going to redo my exhaust from the manifold back. Hornbrod: Will my truck pass emissions if i take off the cat and put a glass pack( like a cherry bomb) instead like you did? Is a high flow cat alot better than a regular cat?
  13. Keep watching ebay. I found all 4 manuals for my 89 for $25 plus shipping in mint condition. I found a site that has them, I will see if i can find it. Look here, might be expensive: http://www.jedi.com/obiwan/jeep/manual.html They have the main one for 89 here but very expensive. http://thejeep.com/shop/TECH+MANUALS/ ebay is your best bet. If you can find a set from 87,88,0r 90 for cheap it will be very similar until you can find an 89
  14. All the info you need. With pics http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... ning+valve
  15. The skid is just regular bolts. I think theres 4 across the front and you just remove the nuts and then there are 2 more (one on each side) toward the engine. Grab the tow hooks (don't forget the brackets). If you don't want them I will buy them if the price is good.
  16. There are two actoator rods that you have to disconnect. They are long and have a bend in them (like an L). The bottom part of the L gos into a hole and you have to pull it out. There is a thing that holds it from falling out. It swings up and clips onto the long part of the rod. You will be able to feel it. Once you unclip that the small part will slide right out.
  17. The rear bumper on my 89 says 2000lb trailer load max 400 posts
  18. by chico: quote] considering the fact I'm the only one who knows how to do it in the shop with no applicants in sight
  19. I don't think you can. I looked and couldnt find it seperate.
  20. lol... that looks like something a drug dealer has on hand... not that I know any.. so how does that work? It weighs the materials weight thats floating?? I don't remember exactly how they work. When mosenite(sp?) first came on the market alot of the smaller jewelery stores didnt have these and were getting screwed by people passing off the mosenite as real diamonds. I think there specific gravitys were real close too, so they also had to start testing the refractive index of the stones too.
  21. Someone email him and ask if he has the kit that was on it. For some reason i can't send email to the cl addresses with my mail server. :dunno:
  22. thats great for him. Will probally boost his interest in fishing. I once caught a black bass on a stick with some string tied to it, but i was just bottom fishing under some falls.
  23. I thought you meant one of these: http://www.kassoy.com/ec/1/section.asp?idDept=312
  24. I used a specific gravity tester in a gem stones class, but it was a long time ago.
  25. Is there a certain mileage where you should replace the timing chain?
