  2. just don't open the box with the brackets. call now for a return authorization number and send them back. worst case you're out $11 shipping but save the $42
  3. Birdhunter, that's really cool! But I gotta say............ :needpics:
  4. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=798519 Maybe somebody looking to do a diesel swap will be interested in this.
  5. Nice job! Killer headliner for sure. But, I dunno, personally I couldn't ride around with the Barney Fife search lights up on the cowl like that. Anyway, welcome to the club! Beers in the fridge, find a seat and stay awhile. Oh, but don't sit on the tan couch, that's Chico's spot.
  6. Those are double stack 8 packs!
  7. DHL is still around but only for international shipments. They are owned by the German post office IIRC. They tried to gain market share here by being the lowest price and basically lost their @$$. Well, DHL did and so did their contractors, a lot of whom ran shady AND shoddy operations. They shut down local shipping around the first of the year. :offtopic: Back to topic, which is deadbeat sellers. Boilermaker seems that he may be getting his situation resolved from an outside seller, but interestingly enough 87mjdriver has NOT had the same luck so far from one of our own very outspoken members, despite the fact that person had time this a.m. to post pics of their latest trip to the Badlands ($$) and bent front axle that will need to be replaced ($$). :shake:
  8. I saw the K&N sticker on the airbox, so if it's still in there you basically got a nice air filter wrapped in a beat-down truck. If it's not in there, you paid $49 too much, and I'm the type of guy that thinks anything that runs and rolls, no matter how bad, is worth $500. Like everyone else said, sell off as many parts as you can, you'll be ahead by a few hundred bucks probably and help you buy a fixable truck.
  9. phenry, i'm 99% sure you have the same color as me, i have it written down somewhere and the paint code. i'll try to dig it up.
  10. 87mjdriver, I applaud you for handling this the way that you have. Very classy. That being said, I thought I would add that I have had somewhat of a similar experience with young Mr. JeepcoMJ. I have bought a few items from him, and IIRC on each occassion the delivery of items already paid for was bordering on unreasonably slow to a point of wondering if I was ever going to see it. But, I know he works A LOT (including travel), and it can be difficult to veer from your daily routine and head to the UPS store/depot. For the record, I say that because I'm guilty of it, i.e. slow delivery (sorry aemsee!). The reason I am posting this is not because I am trying to bash Pat, but because I see a potential pattern here that concerns me. First, the lack of communication during the delays, i.e. that the buyer had to initiate most, if not all, of the communication wondering what the status of delivery was. Second, but more importantly, that the blame was pawned off to UPS being the reason for delay. I too got the "UPS screwed it up" excuse at least twice. I figured there was a 50/50 chance it was either that or he just hadn't gotten around to sending it out yet. In the end I was ok with that because I got the item and at least on one occasion he refunded some of the money to make it right, which I respected him for doing the right thing. I think when you are buying and selling items on a forum with not much more than a gentlemen's agreement, disputes, delays, and other problems are going to occur more often than not. But when 8 months have passed where the seller has long since had the cash in his pocket and the buyer still has nothing, including an explanation, something is seriously wrong.
  11. Pete, I've got some factory MT packs that I found under there now, so we'll have to wait and see if anybody else gives it a try. I was thinking since the overload leaf essentially has no arch, the only lift effect would be the thickness of the spring, but load capacity would be increased substantially. :dunno:
  12. ya damn yinzer! well that knocks me out, i'll be spending my last day of vacation in Hilton Head. I'm sure there will be more to do even after the 27th, so keep in touch and let me know and I could make a day trip.
  13. Nice work Rich, I'm surprised I haven't seen that done on here before. Simple and effective.
  14. Eagle/Pete, lately I've been wondering something after seeing Hellcreek's 3+2 MT packs, and maybe it would apply to Eagle's question. Why not just add another overload spring from MJ packs to emulate the factory 3+2's? That being said, since it is essentially a flat spring, I would think you could use the overload from just about anything that was the same width? What do you all think? :dunno:
  15. Last 9: 9JT127088 Thanks! That shows to be paint code ' PYC ', known as Beige Gold. uhh, beige gold looks more like maroon? :hmm:

  18. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=13865&hilit=s10+bumper&start=15 viewtopic.php?f=7&t=9121&hilit=bumper&start=30 try to find an s10 bumper from 98-04 on ebay or craigslist........
  19. the ebay guy's prices are definitely good. i've heard good things about the one's from sherman's, a little work needed but a good fit from what I hear. https://ecat.shermanparts.com/base/sear ... +floor+pan
  20. Yeah, I've seen them too. All the more confusing as to why the bidding is up. Oh well, it's not us paying for it!
  21. I'm guessing they misread the ad and think it's the pair. The two other bidders have over 800 and 3300 feedbacks respectively. Probably as sellers, but experienced ebayers nonetheless. Which makes it all the more surprising if they misread the ad. Could always be in cahoots with the seller to drive up bids if they think they have a sucker on the line.
  22. INCREDIBLE FINISH........WOW
  23. How long has it been since the Pens had a decent shot on goal! :ack: INTENSE!! EDIT: WOW THIS IS CRAZY...........
  24. Fleury's having a good game!
