  1. yes, 86 was the only year the 20 was available as an axle. I'm 99% sure though, that the MT pkg could only be had with the 6cyl.
  2. Ole Jeff can do some wrenching now, can't he Pong? Hey Jeff, is that the 2 pernt 5 we pulled out of your truck?
  3. Chico, you alright brotha? Blink once for "yes", twice for "no".
  4. Welcome to da club. Beer is in the fridge, sit anywhere you'd like except the tan couch, that's Chico's spot (if he ever comes back :dunno: ). Most of the guys here don't like BushWhacker flairs, but did you know you could slap some 33s on there with those and no lift?
  5. :needpics: Substitute "video" for "pics".
  6. i bet you just jinxed yourself. shouldn't have posted anything until they were in hand. :fool:
  7. love seeing the Coors Comanches, haven't seen them before. They look great with the 2 tone paint and 10 spoke Turbine wheels.
  8. Welcome! Fantastic looking truck, I love the Claws. While I've learned there is nothing exact about Jeeps as it seemed they could be built on order in almost any configuration, I am pretty sure that if you have the 2.5L you wouldn't have the Metric Ton pkg. The AMC 20 supposedly only came with the MT pkg, 86 was the only year the 20 was offered as a rear axle, so "technically" it doesn't jive. :dunno: Does the PO know if the 20 was swapped in? If so, the MT springs could have been swapped in too. Easiest way to tell if you have the MT springs is that there are 5 leaves, not 4. Oh, and how do you fit in that thing, you are one HUGE dude! What are you, 6'6"?
  9. what do you have in there now for seats? burgundy buckets? if so, and you're getting rid of them, i'd like to talk to you. pm me pics if you are interested in doing some dealing on them. Looks like a nice one, welcome!
  10. I'd take that in a heartbeat just because it is so rare. But if I had that I'd definitely have to have an old Willys too. Interesting how it has the boxed out fenders up front and the round "flares" in the back.
  11. I had a nasty belt squeal for awhile and thought it was the idler pulley, but after I had a mechanic friend look at it with me, we tightened the belt up a little and I haven't had a squeak since. I was told on here, IIRC, that if you can twist your belt more than a 1/2 turn it's too loose. Of course it depends on how hard you have to twist it, but a rule of thumb measurement I guess. I thought mine had plenty of tension on it, but obviously it did not. I say give that a shot.
  12. yeah that one has made the rounds on here several times before, and it is one of my fave's too, especially the color like you said. :agree:
  13. Weber Performer Touch-n-Go! TNT, I can't believe you found one in someone's trash! A friend of mines parents have had one for a long time and I got mine 12yrs ago after seeing theirs. Like TNT said, it is propane fired charcoal. To me, nothing beats meat cooked on a charcoal grill. People talk about the convenience of gas etc. When I want to grill, I go start the charcoal with the propane, go inside and do a little prep, about 5-8 mins later go turn off the gas, then go inside and finish prepping or have a beer. Other cool features: hinged cooking grate w/side charcoal bins (for indirect cooking), thermometer that doubles as a meat thermometer, ash catcher. http://www.weber.com/grills/?glid=4&mid=25
  14. next to last pic is a great shot. glad you got out, now shut your pie slot! wuss! :fool:
  15. Another bad weekend for ya mate. Feel for ya. BTW, did you notice? Hoos 0-3; Tide 3-0. Tide ranked #3 - should be #2 before the Horns. Roll Tide Roll!
  16. yeah, pretty frustrating, but waaayyyy too early to worry. i have no concern they'll make the playoffs.
  17. is rob old enough? isn't he like 16 or something? :clapping:
  18. Yeah, Eli has really come in to his own. Romo will be out of there after this year.......and Philips.
  19. Nice work. There is VDub shop here that has about 8 of these sitting out on the lot in various condition. I need to take a pic and post for you.
  20. Very disappointing football weekend for me. My Wahoos were in control at Southern Miss and blew it, and then the usually very reliable Jeff Reed missed TWO ugly field goals for the Steelers loss. :fs1: :grrrr: :headpop: :( Watching the Cowboys game right now. That place is mind-boggling, but I hate Jerry Jones so..........go Giants!
  21. He should pull up when the BS cop's house is toast and apologize for not making it quicker because he drove the speed limit and stopped for all lights and signs.
  22. Yeah Bob. They looked great and dominated the game - up until the last four minutes. Then Brady woke up and threw two touchdown passes in a 1:16 span late in the fourth quarter. But Trent Edwards had a great game for the Bills, no fault of his. What's that now. 12 straight Pat wins over the Bills? It wasn't so much Brady waking up as it was the fumbled kickoff still up by 5 with 2 minutes to go. The way the Bills moved the ball on them, they had a more than likely chance to pick up a couple of first downs and win the game. I hate the Pats.
  23. I went to the Richmond NASCAR race last night and stopped by Jeff's on the way home today to check out the new house. NICE garage w/10 or 11ft ceiling, fully sheetrocked and insulated all the way around. That rack is built pretty stout to say the least. House is super nice, big rooms, lots of light. Congrats again Jeff. Oh, and I picked up the 96 XJ brake booster he pulled for me at the JY yesterday. $21
  24. links don't work
  25. I NEVER get tired of seeing what a nice set of wheels and tires can instantly do to a vehicle. Nice job!
