  1. So your saying my MJ is not the most aerodynamic BOX out there? :rotf: :rotf:
  2. I don't know the exact mpg but when i run a pretty consent speed of 65-70mph i can get around 220-250 miles to a tank of gas, but when i run a consent speed around 75-80 i can hardly get to 200 miles to the tank. I would understand a 1000rpm change making a difference, but it don't sound like it is more than 5-600rpm. So i guess my question is why would 5-10mph change my mpg"s that much? Its a 4.0L ,AW-4, 31" tires, 3.55 gears.
  3. is the 207 as good as the 231?
  4. Sweet, man i wanna get me a wrangler, those thing will go just about anywhere.
  5. ok i changed my oil this last weekend, and got a good filter for it, cold starts it still says 60-70 psi, but once warmed up and at hwy speeds, it runs 35-40 psi like it use to when i first put those gauges in. So does that mean, there was junk in the oil and it was making my pressure go up, or just a screwy gauge?
  6. I don't understand this point of view...Us humans have a sinful nature, meaning we would rather do what is wrong than right.Only Because of they way we were brought up do try to do what is right. So if you believe that there is no heaven or hell, no afterlife, no judgement for what you did wrong in your life, what keeps you from living your life from pleasing you and only you, what keeps you from doing what its wrong, cause as you said there is nothing after death, no consequence's, so why would it matter what you did? I'm not trying to be a :smart: here but just trying to understand. If you reply to this saying "well i was raised to do what is right, good morals and all that" well were did that come from...the Bible.
  7. i will try to keep the biblical responses short, because if i make a lengthy reply i believe it will just get glazed or scanned over. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. when God created Adam and Eve, there was no death, suffering, pain, anger and so on. they were cast out of the garden of eden for disobeying the one thing God said not to do. hence the wages of sin and so on. God is a God of love but is also 1oo% just. He is a righteous and perfect judge, and in order to do so there must be death, and so on. the difference between Christains and the rest of the world is we are saved as a gift of God, because he loved the world so much he sent his son to take that punishment for us, and all we have to do to recieve his forgiveness is believe and accpet that. so part of that difference is when we or loved ones die, we have hope, and we mourn but we also celebrate. death is not the end. one more thing, i was trying to keep this short and failed. people think you die and its over. this is not the case, one will either spend eternity in heaven, or hell. people think you go to hell and maybe suffer a little then die again (i used to think this way) but the truth is you will spend eternity in one or the other...eternity. and its kind of cut and dry, either you believe and accpet God, or you don't. you live one way or the other, and you end up one way or the other, forever either way. i am also enjoying the fact this discussion is civil and intelligent, and i agree with marcel, this is a good group of people. :agree: i wanted to reply to that post from Das, but couldn't quite sum up how to say it, but you just did it right there. none of us deserve anything but death, god is holy, perfect, loving and just, but we are nothing in his sight, there is absolutely nothing that we can do on this earth to measure up to what he is, or to be accepted by him, only by his pure love and grace does he allow some of us to be saved. and none of us deserve it. when i hear someone say, "how could a loving god let this happen" i just laugh, (no offensive intended das) because i say, "why didnt it happen sooner, and why are there still this many ppl/ animals or whatever alive" God dosent have to save any of us, but because he loves us (and this blows my mind why would he ever loves us) he gives us the gift of eternal life with him. On another note, it makes me happy seeing that everybody can talk about this without flaming each other and getting pissy. Makes me proud knowing i can be apart of this kinda group.
  8. ouch, may save up for that, they look cool 8)

    awesome

All i can say is WOW! :USAflag:
  10. thats the problem right there, peopls minds can not comprehend that there is no begin and no end for god, they don't really understand what the word infinity means, or forever, our minds are built around a world that does have a beging and a end and so we can't understand god. and so people will just throw that "idea" out the door, and believe in evolution cause its easier to understand.
  11. :agree: i can't argue that at all.
  12. excatly how did you "smoke" it? i think i oversped the motor and cooked something, i was going about 85 mph on the highway when all of a sudden it started popping/surging/losing power, until the fastest i could go was about 50... got off the highway at the next exit, and at this point you could tell there was a skip, and it was shooting a cloud of thick blue-grey smoke out the tailpipe.. i opened the hood, and EVERYTHING was soaked with oil, i think it came out of the breather at the top of the valve cover but i'm not sure.. started it up and figured out the #1 jug had a dead skip, spark getting to the plug but not firing... pulled the plug out and the end of it was covered with a ton of greasy black goop... threw a new plug in it, and the dead skip was still there, so i'm thinking that maybe the rings had it :dunno: Dang....well the positive side is at least it didnt leave you stranded in BFE. ;) actually, it did.... 42 miles from home! i know that because i had to pay $110 for a 42 mile tow :wall: oh ok  are your side markers white?
  13. very nice.. tell you what, you fix it up and ill trade you some better parts for it then what you got rid of. :chillin: jk
  14. I don’t believe in evolution simply because it’s impossible. I do believe that sometimes something’s do evolve and change, but if you start to think about it, to many things had to be absolutely perfect in order for this planet to sustain life, and for us humans to be able to walk, talk, breathe air, communicate, see and understand things. I don’t doubt at all that sometimes something happens by chance that had only 1 in a infinity chance of happening. but there is to much going on, to much happening that could of just happened, it grew that way, it evolved that way its impossible. I do believe in God and the Bible, do i follow it, well..no. I'm not going to jump up and down cry and call you names if you don't believe the way i do, i'm not going to try to convert you either, but this is how my brain thinks and understands it.
  15. thanks Correy, Learn something new everyday
  16. went to the pick-n-pull here today and was looking for a full set of gages, pulled one out of a 96 xj, and it was all electric, same for the 95 and 94 ones that i pulled. what is the latest year that i can pull gages out of and work for my 88? Did get a nice wood engrained dash cover face plate though for $7. :D Also a plus, did not see any MJs :clapping:

  18. Post subject: QuestionPosted: Thu Oct 04, 2007 7:46 pm Hello everyone, new guy here, still learning the ropes. My ques. is my Jeep has the 2.5L with a 4 speed and it seems like it's really lowed geared, 60mph is all that i will run it, any faster than that just seems to hard on it, I have had it to 70mph and that poor ol engine was just screaming. Is this normal for a 2.5 4speed? man i got to reading some of my old post, i didnt know crap back then, ive learned a lot from all you guys.
  19. :hijack: so your saying if there is a crack in the bottle(like mine) it won't be cooling proplery? anybody got one that aint cracked they wanna get rid of?? :brows:
  20. That is unbeliveable. Ive seen and heard of some jacked-up things before with poilce officers, but that tops it right there. It sounds like they had been writing tickets outside of there jursidiction for awhile, untill the judge stoped that, how were they able to do that? and why wouldnt the sheriffs dept. step in sooner?
  21. yes oil is changed regularly. and next weekend is time for an oil change, Idk what filter I'm using, oreilly special :D ill get the filter you guys are suggesting, and already using 10w-30, so ill see what happens. i don't have access to a mechanical oil gauge that i know of, i just hope you all are right and its nothing to worry about. thanks.

  23. i don't want to hear that :(
  24. my oil pressure is going the roof! cold starts in the morning (70 degrees outside) its running around 65-70, reaches operating temp and in around 30 minutes or so it will work its way down to 40-45. my PCV valve is blowing some oil, and my rear main seal is leaking a little, not much though. is it running high because of the leaks?, or is it getting ready to spill its guts? I'm getting worried cause its my DD and I'm screwed if i miss any college classes :help:
