  1. Got it!! We looked closer at the book and there was 2 wires coming through the firewall that was green w/ white stripe, well apparently somebody switched wire colors so we run a new wire and got here going. I got it on the HWY to see what she was running at 70mph, 3400rpms, does that sound right? 68mph and under the truck runs smooth, but 70 and over it vibrates to bad, may have something to do with mud tires 8)
  2. ok i know i'm asking a lot a of questions here, but i'm young and don't anything... anyway trying to hook a tach up in my truck it's mounted and wired up and has power but isn't showing anything, we only found one wire that came from the coil on the inside of the firewall. hooked it to that but as i said, nothing, then we thought maybe there was break in that wire somewhere so we got a long piece of wire and hooked it direct but still nothing. any idea's??
  3. When I got my MJ in june the original name plates on the side of the truck were half@$$ broken off, the previous owner said somebody tried to steal them, any way he gave me 2 new ones he had and i want to know the best way to attach them on the truck, they aren't new, they came of another truck so they still got the tar stuff on them.
  4. Thanks Eagle, i've got a a tach in it right now, but something not right with it, it's not getting any signal from the coil.
  5. IT 's a brand new crate motor, 20,000ml. And for a 4 banger it does seem to have "some" power, from 50mph and under it will get up and go, but over that it won't hardly move.
  6. Hello everyone, new guy here, still learning the ropes. My ques. is my Jeep has the 2.5L with a 4 speed and it seems like it's really lowed geared, 60mph is all that i will run it, any faster than that just seems to hard on it, I have had it to 70mph and that poor ol engine was just screaming. Is this normal for a 2.5 4speed?
