  13. ok going to ask a stupid question here, i know MJ means the Comanche, but what does XJ,YJ,ZJ, mean? been on here for awhile and still don't know?
  14. Neighbor got a 86 MJ with the real gages, all i got is the idiot lights. when he wrecks it and i buy it from him for parts can i just take those gages and plug right into my 88, or do i need to change anything?
  15. thanks guys, i went ahead and did what Pete suggested, switched the CAD over 4x4 works awsome now
  16. is it worth while to put in manual lock-out hubs on my MJ? i went and priced them at the dealership yesterday, about $130 ea. doing that will get rid of those stupid vacuum lines, and i won't have to drive around all the time with the front axle turning right?
  17. ok thank you guys.
  18. Hey every body, havent been on here for awhile cause i sold my jeep last year, BUT......got another one! :D anyway to my point, the vaccum lines going to the front axle were ripped off when i got it, the metal ones are still there just the rubber ones from the bottom of the engine to the axle gone, so i got some to replace them but can't figure out which one to hook up were  every once in awhile 4x4 works but most of the time not, so if any one could help me with a picture or something would be nice :help:
  19. ok thanks guys, still not sure yet if i want to do that or not.
  20. here you go, this is my first time posting pictures so it kinda messed up. what do you all think?
  21. OK i got to make this decison in a couple months and i'm having a hard time. I've got a 86 with a 4 speed 4x4 with 2.5L the engine runs good no problems with that it's got 184,xxx. the truck has been painted camo, the interior is really nice it is black, it got a new vinal bench seat, the boot cover and the little center counsol thing the screws that hold down broke but everthing else has been reconditioned. the front bumber is a 5" round pipe caped off and is a air tank. i also built a deer guard and welded it to the front bumber, it is made out of round pipe also with flood lights , the rear bumber is just a 4" round pipe. it's got 235/75 tires, nothing special, the only problems that i know of is the clutch has a problm but think it is the slave cylinder, but it is still drivable . and the rearend is leaking around the cover. i will hopefully have pictures up tonight so you can see it, the body is really straght, except for a few minor dings and dents, the most rust is the floor board, but i knda patched that up. i bought the truck for $1500, and the only thing that needed to be done was replace the master slave cylinder for the clutch. i would like to get $1200 but what would you guys offer for this truck
  22. ill try that, hope it works thanks.
  23. I can't get it to shift gears, it will only grind going into reverse, but 1 through 4 i can't even get it to grind. i have checked the fluid and it was between the min and max so i went ahead and filled it full and the helped a little bit but only for a while. Also the pedal is EXTREMELY sloppy, it acts like it has no fluid when it does. Thanks in advance
