  2. Have a holly, jolly Christmas; It's the best time of the year I don't know if there'll be snow, but have a cup of cheer. Have a holly, jolly Christmas; And when you walk down the street Say Hello to friends you know and ev'ryone you meet. Oh, ho, the mistletoe hung where you can see; Somebody waits for you; Kiss her once for me. Have a holly jolly Christmas, and in case you didn't hear, Oh by golly, have a holly, jolly Christmas this year.
  3. The rhetostat is that coil you know.. That lil lever on the right side turns the dome/under dash lights on. I'm not sure what goes wrong within the switch but it doesnt flow through the rhetostat. I removed the coiled wire on my switch and it lights the cluster/dash lights on full strength, but didnt through the rhetostat. :dunno: I sanded the contacts which didnt help and the surface of the coil, no help. I'm pretty sure its something within the switch that goes bad. You could just try to get a used switch from the JY and see if it works. That was/is my problem. Worth a shot for you though. A good check is I was getting 12 V at the fuse on both sides of the fuse, but no power at any light socket, or on the cluster connector. Here is a cluster call out I put together to use with the wiring schematics to help find if it was something with the cluster, like I said I went through pretty much ever circuit that dealt with the illumination of the dash.
  4. por15 first then do the bedliner.
  5. I went through this headache myself.. I didnt think it was the headlight switch because I had another to swap out with, still had the problem.. Removed my whole dash and each and every lil light bulb in it thinking one may have shorted together or something,, no help, removed fuse box and the dash connectors to clean them and even jumped power to the dash light no luck..I then went & rewired my radio harness and used my test light and multi meter on everything. I looked and looked through wiring specs for some sort of hint, kelp coming up with the switch being the reason.. I too had all indicator lights, turn signals, brights, and door open dome lights and the switch operated the dome lights.. That switch working the dome/under dash lights was what really threw me off.. The picture below shows what Hornbrod and I decided a while ago that this was what turned the domes on/off Same picture just not drawn on Picture below is showing the switch not quite turned fully CCW, dome/under dash lights off. This picture below shows the switch turned fully CCW and the domes/under dash lights on So this was my problem. I still haven't gotten a new switch just kinda made the bad one work for now.
  6. ^ :rotfl2: yeah? lol My 96 XJ has a recall on the cat, just haven't had time to take it to the dealer yet... I need to before they all go belly up don't I!!! And speaking of the O2 sensors... What if my truck falls into that recall too, and I have put another O2 on it already?? Think I should find an old one and put on it then take it to the dealer?
  7. Ever seen an old ford or chevy dog track down the road. I think most of those trucks do it. Looks like the arse end is going to swing around the front.

    Snow Day

Man that brings back memories... We used to do that with a tractor and a old buick hood.
  9. Your trucks starting to look like Halo's Warthog. Need to mount a 30mm chaingun on a turret on the back of that beast...
  10. Well, I can ask a price for just the rear end, but by the time it'd take to remove and all I'd rather have the whole truck here. I may when money starts flowing again, but for now I think Ill just keep an eye on it. The guy said he'll call me if anything changes, fat chance with that happening though. I have no problem taking someone there whos wanting it, but I can't just give my honey holes out for everybody to spy... :brows:
  11. Who said 2wd's don't like woods?? Going camping Sat, so went to our campsite to square things away. Had the phone out and thought I'd thumb a pic off..
  12. Well if anyone wants to get this truck before the crushers do let me know.

    ewwwww.....

Looks like itd be a great spot for a pool..... Cause Taz is right your going to have to dig the bad stuff up..
  14. :dunno: There was two rows of numbers on the tag on the rearend. The 4:56 was stamped on the bottom, far left. It was bolted down on the left side of the tag at about the 1 or 2 o'clock position on the pumpkin. I'm 100% sure it said 4.56. I wouldn't mind getting it, but I know another 4cyl 5spd which should be 4:10 and better suited in my 2wd street sweeper, with a $300 price tag. 4:56's I think would be a lil over kill..
  15. I like my truck more.. don't think it needs 4.56 gears though. Not many parts I need off it except the tailgate, maybe the tail lights. I think it'd be better off here then sitting rotting in a lonely JY.
  16. Can you get a VIN off of it? Well I just got back from where that MJ is. Got the VIN, also crawled under it and checked the tag on the diff. It is a 4.56 D35. The vin is 1JFT36E3KL471824 I know the guys said it had a hole in the block, but everything on the truck is pretty much cherry. No rust, straight body, good looking gray interior, nice header/grill, crack free tails,,, and wanted $400 for it.. I think I may be able to talk him down, but... Think its worth it to part out..
  17. Hes just trying to kiss a lil butt so you don't come back there with a AK-47... :brows:
  18. I was thinking more of the others camo net with the "need pics"... But I guess that kinda gives an idea of what it'll look like. Looks kinda pre-runner...
