I guess you all don't realize how serious running red lights is :hmm: They put them lights there to prevent ppl from running the lights and causing what could be fatal accidents. As for ppl getting rearended while stopping for the yellow light.. In the State of VA if you get rearended.. not matter what the driver who hit the other driver is responsible, even if you were stopped and pushed into the car in front of you :brows: They way to prevent this is to drive defensively. Keep in mind what you can loose if you are involved in a bad accident

When I find a part that works on my rig.. I write down the part number, or what vehicle it came off of. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to keep all that crap straight when nothing on your axles is stock
-
Your rig looks great, but you will have a hard time getting top dollar for it with the DW going on. Stereo equipment only adds value when the person buying it likes loud music :brows: Personally I think you will be better off keeping it. If I was going to make an offer on it you would probrbaly laugh at me cause to me it is only worth about 1500

The brain surgeons that work at the Advance auto parts, and auto zones only know how to look up parts with engine sizes. You could have told them to pick an engine size and it would not have made a difference. Plus you can get custom brake lines made for like 30 bucks if you know where to go :brows:

New 2.5 MJ project...Now a 4.0 H.O. project
pingpong replied to CEThomas's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
I really never chime in on the smaller lift questions cause that is not where I have the most experience, but if you want to do a cheapish 2-3" lift I would reccommend using coils up front or poly spacers. Making your own spacers just has trouble written all over it, especially when poly ones can be had for around 35 bucks :brows: For the rear I would use a full size chevy 2" drop shackle. This should give around 2" of lift and since a Mj has a slight rake from the factory, it should be close to level. A new adjustable trac bar can be had for around 100, granted this isn't the beefiest unit out there, but it is better then stock and gives you room for adjustment. -
NIce... I slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night so I think I will reshingle my roof tommorrow  Looks killer Jeff.

Go with an 8.8. just swap front gears to 4.10's :brows: you know you want more gear :D it will give you disc brakes :hmm: and it is a sronger axle. Yes it hangs down more :smart: but that is God's way of saying you need bigger tires Spacers are cheap as well. Lets do a quick Math thingy. Complete 8.8 from UWI $110, a set of mopar spring perches $10, and a set of trail sport wheel spacersw/shipping $85. :papers: so for just 200 bucks you can have a better rear axle with a LSD Now for the front new gears 129, and 79 bucks for an install kit, and you can be set, or you go down to the UWI and pick up a 4 banger front axle with 4.10's for a 110 bucks and call it good. Personally I would go with the 8.8 as I can attest to the abuse this axle will take

Have you thought of the Isuzu 12 bolt? Thats another great axle... and strong as hell... heck how about a d60 :brows: I will sell you a complete useble housing for a couple hundred and you can get it narrowed for lil or nothing, and then you would have some strength. As for the front D30. I don't know what your ultimate goal is for it, but spending any money into one is a waste. I spent alot of copin building mine in hopes of not having to build another axle, and low and behold.. I am building another front axle. Granted my wheeling style might be a lil different then yours, but even well taken care of parts break. Just my 2 cents worth of advice

My mysterious oil leak on Pong was caused by the distributor gasket leaking. Once I replaced that.. my oil leaksstopped for a lil while

I have used both Lo0ng arms and the RE drop brackets. The RE Db's flex really good for what they are, and ride nice. LA's work good as well too, since You are against Db's go with Long arms.

The trip was a blast. YellowStone and the activites out there rocked. The weather was less then nice to us with rain/sleet/snow mix, and then when we left it warmed up to a nice 50* mark. No its not where they grow tobacco, it is an auctual cattle ranch that Phillip Morris owns. It is approxamitaly 18000 acres, and was a great time. As soon as I get around to it.. I will post pics
