It sounds as if you didnt engage it all the way....

The way it looks now.. Is I migt be re-using my lowers for my rear uppers... Sorry man.
-
Try to find a 4wd shop that sells below what RE sells it for.. I can think of a couple right off the top of my head :D Also I posted in the forsale forum a local guy is selling a set of re DB's. Just look and be patient
-
That depends on the spline count on the tranny.. it could be either 21 or 23, and some of them don't have the provision for the VD housing hook up as well

Rear Radius Arm Suspension

You remember that old saying keep it simple stupid :D This applies.... -
I ran that setup 2 yrs ago. several small problems with it... Unless you go over the knuckle it will hit your trac bar mount  and since it is below the axle centerline it is easily bashed
-
Depending on how long you wait.. I will have my LA set up for sale once I get my Colis overs

D30 full and or mini spool

Around here thats about all it costs to fix things... beer and parts. We lincolned locked Pong's rear at Crozet after a night of druken smack talking... I would never think of running anything else on a trail rig :brows: -
Do me a favor :brows: don't use tractor supply parts to build long arms. That would be a scarey thing on the road. I am sure ppl have done it... I just don't know of any who have.. or admitted to doing it.
-
us youngins have it easy huh? i just gotta come up with 1160$ and ive got me a 5.5" RE kit :brows: but seriously... thanks to all those who did bring out the MJ in the offroading scene. Just use the brackets, find a HD trac bar and some lift coils.... then SOA and a chevy drop shackle.... whole lot cheaper and it is about the same thing, especially considering they use lift coils and spacers on that kit

If you fill the spider gears up as well as weld them together.. they will not come apart :brows: Since you have a VD housing shouldn't be but so bad for street driving. I say do it :wrench: Lock right 200 plus Powertrax 300+ LIncoln locker 5 dollars in welding rod... and a six pack Watching your friends say that won't work and proving them wrong ..... PRICELESS -
Personally the setup I was running was the best set-up Pong has had to date. RE DB's with Rusty's 6.5 coils, RE HD trac bar and mount. Extended brake lines and some DT shocks. For the rear I used Chevy drop shackles and SOA
-
Thats the pump... no problem at all. as a matter of fact we ran everything through the stock lines on the fram foward, and even used the charcoal canister in the system,
-
I say go for pepto bismo pink, or barney purple... maybe big bird yellow :D Or a combination there of :nanner: Remember the Olympic edition of the VW jetta that was like 5 different colors :brows: each panel different.. get the idea :chillin:
-
A few yrs ago when I started wheeling Pong.. there wasnt even a lift kit out for the MJ beside a budget boost, and RE's DB kit. I believe I was one of the first ppl to try the Chevy drop shackle for rear lift... In other words.. we build our own junk for the most part, and it shows in the way we share knowledge

That depends... You can almost buy a nice fuel injection set up brand new for that kinda monay. Keep in mind pane lowers your horsepower... and it means you have to carry your own fuel... most ppl don't have pane powered rigs.
-
You are either going to have to totally change your shock mounting system... or buy shorter shocks
-
Here is the RE DB setup with stock upper and lowers at Tellico in 04

I bought all my stuff from the dealer. The spring plates (f150), the 4 companion flange bolts, and the u-bolts and I think I was out right at 100 Bucks. Emergency brakes are for ppl with manual trannies.. real men run line locks :D
-
I don't think that is the same pump.... the pressure wasnt that high on the one I got... I forgot to go check what it was when I came in this morning.. Working 16hrs... is hard on the brain :brows:
-
DC might know a lil.. but I say do a search on Pirate, and look at some of the manufacturers web sites out there. Where I work at they have 4.3 Pane powered fork trucks  I can't wait for one of the newer ones to come up for auction so I can buy the setup :brows:

Bolt Locations for Bed removal

They forgot to tall you about the grounding strap located in the drivers side taillight bucket area. I can't tell you how long mine were... most of them broke off when I was taking them off -
Yup for no MORE then what was inthe kit it was ripping ppl a new a$$
-
MSD makes a nice electric inline pump.. I forgot what model number it is.. but it is what i am running. I will go look at Pong later on and tell you what the number is... It was right around 90 bucks IIRC
-
There is hardly any demand for a "tank kit". As for how much ppl would pay.... It cost me roughly 350 to change over to a fuel cell with a inline pump and filter.... so by the time you figure in tooling cost and production.. you would have a hard time beating what some one could piece together from a speed catalog. BTW I used quality parts... I am sure it could have been done substantially cheaper if I would have shopped around more
