  1. If you motice the bidding names.. it all seems suspicious if you ask me.. the names, and who they are bidding against.
  2. I have to agree with the revolvers being a solution to a poor preforming suspension. As pointed out.. if the rig is built with the sole purpose of them being used, and longer driveshafts, shocks and brakelines. As well as limit straps are included in the build, they can be made to work well. IMHO I don't think there is any need for them on a MJ.. Just add a longer shackle and call it good.
  3. Glad to see you survived and you rig did so to speak. I can't tell you how many ppl where I work at have done the same thing. Unfortunately your insurance is going to have to pay a claim, which means your insurance will be going up. This is irregardless if you are convicted of the traffic violation. On a side note. We had a guy take out 50 foot of concrete guardrail (over a small creek) his insurance company got billed over 250K he had more then standard insurance, but not enough to cover it, and the state is garnishing his wages till he pays off the balance
  4. IIRC those are hooked to the coolant system. Problem with electric heaters in general is they pull lots of power. At work we use water style ones in our fork trucks, and they get so warm.. we remove the doors
  5. NO we have to have an annual safety inspection, and they put a sticker in your windshield. Of course any police officer can pull you over for an infraction of the safety inspection he views (burned out light/cracked windshield). Of course the chances of you getting pulled over increases at night(higher chance you had a drink). Most of the time you get a warning, unless you get a smart a$$ attitude with them
  6. please reweld all factory welds on the axle, and add skid plating. This isnt the first time I have seen or heard of this happening
  7. MOre then likely you will need to address the driveshaft issue. That does seem like a lot of exposed shaft. Jeff has a d44, and a stock length D/S and it seems to work.

    %^&@#$*!$@ AT&T

I had dial up for yrs.. and switched to cable, but that was only after Verizon told me it would be at least 18 months before they got DSL where I am at. So Now I have cable, and no Home phone, and came out cheaper after you figure I had Direct Tv, Home phone, and Interent. I ended up saving about 30 bucks a month. Eagle I wish I could help you with your problem. My only advice would be to get on the phone and make AT&T make it right
  9. Difference is in the rear side. I run a 242 driveshaft in the front of pong
  10. I have some pretty amazing crap happen with shock loading and heavy right foot action. Anything can break and does.. it is all matter of if you know how to fix it.. and how long you hold your buddies up. Just remember there is always a weak link in your driveline... 35's on a d44 doing burnouts sounds like a reciepe for broken u-joints or twisted drive shafts :brows: Or even worse.. broken wheel studs
  11. He forgot that he had help too  Most places find "something" wrong. I have been known to leave a blinker bulb loose.. so they can make their quick 15 and I can get out of there  I did find one honest inspection station, and I have been going there for about 10yrs now with all my vehicles. They are offroader friendly, and Have common sense when it comes to the small stuff. Pong actually passed inspection with no doors  but I did point out to the inspector.. that all it did say was I needed 2 mirrors
  12. If you look in the Tech Forum for Jeff's post about Soa'd, you wil find he used Taco shocks for his rear.
  13. He used those little straps to hold the front too  He should consider himself lucky he didnt loose his whole rig. I am accused of overkill strapping. I use at least 4, sometime 6, and as many as 8 straps to hold a vehicle down. BY straps I mean 2" wide ratchet ones. Can never tie it down to much
  14. Make a great Truggy project :brows:
  15. The looks are decieving... the turn down is right in front of his rear axle. So technically it is behind the rearmost passenger seat :D
  16. There are plenty of charts out there to tell you how many teeth your speedo gear needds to be accurate. I know you can buy them from q-tec or the dealer. The way to change the gear is to climb under your vehicle and on the back side of your t-case you will see a cable go in. Take said nut and locking collar off, and remove old gear... then place new one in, and make sure it is seated properly, and reinstall cable, locking colar and your are straight. Hope that helps
  17. I got a question... I have the early Tera LA's ( well sitting in my parts pile) How do you like there flex? I had a few issues with binding are you? As for the box brace.. anything to help stiifen up your steering is good. Again that part too is sitting in a pile of parts from a vehicle I am stripping
  18. MOther In-law has an 04 as well, she bought it new, and cause she had to have a certian color (red) and she wanted the chrome wheels, leather, sunroof, as well as 4x4 she got took on the price, but she is really happy with it. She does say it is a lil rough on gas. My wifey hates it.. she says my old beater xj's are better on gas and have more room, so once they work out the bugs.. we will be buying a new Patriot
  19. If it was mine there would be a few more bars. I saw those cheap little lunch box holder straps.. and was hoping those were used to keep the tarp tied down :shake:
  20. I have nbever had an issue with my exhaust on my rig..and that is how i ran it.. matter of fact.. that might be kinda long  BTW Jeff cut that off on his own :dunno: it was still early in the lift if my memeory serves me correct
  21. Hey Jeff set them aside... I want to try something
  22. You can also swith out to a "u-bolt" style yoke. They came on full size F series vehciles. What made me think of it was the ford I just stripped, and I was looking under casper :D

    jeep jt

I will believe it when I can put my hands on it in a showroom... until then it is just a concept vehicle. Oncec you start seeing press releases for it.. it might be true as well.
  24. The first one was more complete as well... depending on what the interior was set up like... might be worth around 7
  25. MOre then likely you will be fine.. it is just a heads up if you get vibes... you might want to change your u-joints
