    Online game

I know more of you have tried to play.. if not give it a try
  2. I totally love the CJ-8, but I wouldnt pay that kind of money for one. For that kind of money you can just aboout build one from a parts catalog using all new stuff, including an aluminum tub
  3. If you do a search you can find just about all you need to know about this very topic. I know there were several post that went on for pages concerning this topic
  4. I was  I got rid of it after I dumped it. I bought it for 900, after I spent a bouty 30 days messing with it.. Painted the tins, changed it from a magneto to a distributor. and switched from shot gun pipes to some drag pipes. I wrecked it. got paid 4200 from the insurance company.. then sold it.. taken apart for rebuild due to the wreck for another 2500. THats what I would call a good return on investment
  5. MY first bike was a 69 rigid sposter chopper  It had an 12" over girder on the front.. no front brake and a 21" front tire  It rode like crap... and I dumped it. Had a blast building it the first time. It came to me in the back of a honda civic  30 days later it was together... 5 days after that I almost killed myself  MY view on Harley is..why am I going to pay you top dollar for something that I am going to customize. I would just as soon buy a kit bike from one of the websites and have a Pong Fab chop.. instead of a cookie cutter bike

    Online game

Here is an online game kinda cool and boring but http://4x4country.net/register.php?REF=7426 come on guys give it a try
  8. I was going to call him... but ended up finding my new toy down in hampton on Craigs list :brows: I got a good deal despite the few problems.
  9. I don't hate on ppl who have more money then the get sense. If some one is willing to pay that price let them. It is all about free market, and capitalism. A1 ALl I have to say.. I have bought things with the express purpose of reselling or trading for something I want. If your cousin got what he wanted for his rig (obviously he did cause he sold it), you really can't hate on them for reselling it at a profit. I agree all their stuff is way over priced, but if ppl continue to pay it... they will continue to charge it :brows:

    long arms

I hate to say it.. but anything can be bent :brows: I have heard of issues with just about every long arm kit that offers a belly skid of them bending. As for who makes drop brackets. Rubicon Express, trail master and I think rough country might
  11. So if 120k on the odometer is high mileage.... I better start using that fancy dancy high mileage oil then
  12. The blue XJ I own I call it the "smurf" I am thinking of selling it, but really don't want to market it ;)

    New Toy

Well, the purpose of it is so it can be driven back and forth to work, and to haul the trash to the dump. I have enough money pits (trail rigs). It might get some better tires as they are half worn... but nothing bigger then a 235  Its too nice of a truck for me to abuse :brows: Of course these views can change when we add alcohol to the mix, and I get bored ;)
  14. Thanks Guys. I am hoping I get this done today. As I would like ot have a window in the new dd. I will try said suggestions. If none of the above work... well making a window in the door will be the next option :brows:

    New Toy

Well I have been looking for a new daily driver for work. After some searching I found a Comanche :brows: So I went and looked at it. It is a 1990 swb 4 bangerwith 4 wheel drive and a/c :D After some negotiating it was mine. The bad on it is it needs a drivers window, and the rear brake lines are busted. Here is a link to some dark a$$ pics http://rides.webshots.com/album/561587959MrLxxS
  17. I need to remove a window from a parts rig. The back backing plate is spinning. Whats the secret to getting it out? Also what is the easiest way to remove the window as well.
  18. Was that one in the trading post? I too have been looking
  19. I can do you one better. I can sell you the smurf  You are only a 2 hour ride from where I am at :brows: I will see what I can do for finding a pic for you though
  20. CJ8's are as popular as muscle cars now. Some people are willing to pay big money for them. I really don't see why they are so valuable.. after all they are a jeep ;) To each his own. You have to keep in mind that most of these rigs have been used and abused, and the ones that haven't have been kept on the farm in a barn. Most of them rusted away.
  21. No info on that.. but there is a guy on a local board selling a Cummins, trans, and t-case with all wiring and junk for like 2500
  22. I know you already bought one companion flange, but when you order your SYE order it with 1350 size u-joints. Might as well upgrade that while you are at it.
  23. for 2 inches of lift, you really don't need to change anything.. just don't expect a flex monster. 3" and you are going to need longer brake lines, and longer shocks, as well as rerouting of your ebrake cable. anything over 3" you will need longer control arms on the Lowers, and possibly on the uppers. Longer brake lines, longer shocks, adjustable trac bar new sway bar ends. Like others have said depending on the size of the lift... depends on what you need
  24. I must agree there is alot to doing an axle swap, it isn't as easy as pulling the gears out of one axle and putting them in another
  25. If you were closer.. I would fix it for you :brows: I remember when I did the SOA on pong that it gave me every bit of 6", and I made my own spring perches. IIRC the mopar set up is taller so it will give more lift. Make or purchase a t-case drop.
