  1. It's kinda like the feeling you get when you remove a transmission crossmember without snapping any of the bolts.
  2. 87 octane is about 3.55, Diesel I think is still about 3.65, That E-85 crap is around 3.06
  3. It looks like it's licking its lips.
  4. I'd take a stroked/supercharged 4.0 in an MJ over a V8 any day.
  5. No it wouldn't. Pat had a NA 3800 in one of his MJs, and it kept smoking transmissions left and right.
  6. I had a similar issue in one of my MJs awhile back, to where it would only blow out of the defrost vents. Ended up being the main vac line was broken off of the vacuum reservoir (blimp) in the bumper. Your issue is most likely vacuum related, if you can hear the blower running. Asking questions is basically the whole point of this forum. Don't apologize.
  7. Bamp. http://www.hescosc.com/shop.asp?action=details&inventoryID=43033&catId=#.UbPXdZxqOQo
  8. IIRC, It's Hesco that makes a bolt-on supercharger for the 4.0.
  9. Sediment in the tank? Try changing out the fuel filter.
  10. :agree: If the CAD never engaged, you would be alright, and no, it wouldn't be 3wd. That's only if you have a spool or welded the front. By why take the chance? If that CAD somehow happens to engage, you're going to break something, and it's not going to be something cheap and easily fixed. If you have to swap the rear without changing the front at the same time, take the front shaft out to ensure you don't accidentally crack your T-case in half.
  11. High pinions are reverse cut. Calling it reverse rotation doesn't make any sense, everything still spins the same way. If you tried to put HP gear in an LP, the teeth wouldn't mesh unless the pinion shaft was pointing at the ground. I can whip up some comparative diagrams when I get home if you're still confused.
  12. Almost? Pfft, you still got another 100k before she's broken in.
  13. What was the verdict on the CPS?
  14. Actually, AX-15's 1st is 3.83. The AX-4/5 are 3.93. And the BA 10/5 is 3.39, so it's a significant difference.
  15. I used to do it quite a bit, but pretty much stopped when I moved to MO, since all I got was weird look.
  16. Probably why I've been putting it off for so long. When I did the shocks on my first XJ, that caused me to run without one for a week.
  17. Pop the plug wire the goes from the coil to the dstributor off the cap, stick a spark plug in it. Hold onto the plug with a good pair of insulated pliers, and ground out the plug to a good spot on the body. Crank it, see if it sparks.
  18. What about getting a JK D44 and the Chromoly shafts with trussed tubes?
  19. Why not? You can go to a stealership right now and buy a 2014 model vehicle.
  20. Was the sender new? Have you verified that your oil pressure it good with a mechanical gauge?
  21. Those tail lights looks great! & Can you tell me where the temp sensor and oil press sensors are? Temp sensor for the gauge is on the back of the head. Oil pressure sensor is right next to the distributor.
  22. The 2wds were designed to be converted. It's completely bolt on, and you can do it piece by piece.
  23. Don't pass up a good deal on a 2wd. They're really easy to convert, and you'll have all summer to do it.
