Can Spell Comanche

Can Spell Comanche (2/11)

  1. I have done a recent fuel filter change, but it's been a while on the tune-up. Could that cause intermittent trouble? It runs well the rest of the time.
  2. Anybody experienced no start after sitting for a few days? This has now happened four times over the past few months. Any time the truck sits for more than a couple days it does not want to start. It is my daily driver/work vehicle, so usually I'm driving it every day. It will stumble and burp a few times, that's it. Then if I leave it alone and try to start it again after several hours, it will start up and run fine. Kinda acts like it's flooded. Feel like it's a fuel issue, as I know it's getting fire. Any help is greatly appreciated. It's an 89 2.5.

    A Pic of my Twins

That's Arnold circa 1975. Nice trucks
  4. x2 on the 195 degree thermostat. I had the same problem and it fixed mine.
  5. Man, what an awesome job you have. So how's the parts availability down there?
  6. Have you checked the clutch master cylinder fluid level? Possible leaking slave cylinder?
  7. This may be a little too elementary, but all I did was use a tape measure in the back under the control arms and in the corresponding spot in the front. Once the two measurements were the same the deal was done.
  8. Finally got around to doing my lift and was not expecting to have to fight the front axle so much getting everything sewn back up. Well that's over and I'll be picking up my used 31's in the next few days. They are street tires but I won't complain about free tires. Here's how she sits after the lift.
  9. Picked up this little jewel yesterday at the JY from an 88 MJ Pioneer that just arrived. The truck is at the PullaPart in Winston. It has a great bed and tailgate and the bumper isn't too bad. The guy at the yard said it was driven in, unlike most of the stuff there.

Snatched 'em up for $220. Thanks for the input.

    Ravine $ ?

You can tell where the original wheel weights were located, other than that they are perfect. And there are only 4 of them.

    Ravine $ ?

There is a pristine set of Ravines from a 2006 for sale here locally for $250. Since I never see them for sale around here I was wondering if this is too high. What do they usually go for? Here's a pic of one of them.
  13. Off to the river.
  14. Does this help? 89 Pioneer. I can do different angles if you'd like.
  15. Thanks. The driver's side mirror was loose inside the housing so it would not hold where I would set it, regardless of how I tried to set it. But what really sold me on the newer XJ mirrors is the significantly larger surface area of the glass itself. Much better field of view.
