    REALLY?

Wow..yeah. Red truck has one too. I don't think he realizes it'll fit most cherokees too..
  5. Every once in a great while, usually when I haven't logged in in awhile (Generally I'm on at least 3 times a day), I'll log in and it won't have the orange icons showing new posts, even though the time stamps tell otherwise. Just wondering what could cause this...I hope nobody's hacking into my account?
  6. The only other thing you might need is a new carrier. There were two sizes used, one for 3.07, 3.55, and 3.73, and the larger one for 4.10 and 4.56. (I believe the cutoff was 4.10.)
  7. Running a mechanical gauge wouldn't be too bad if you mounted it right to the tranny tunnel and just had the cooler lines run to it, shouldn't add too much length to the line.
  8. My brother's girlfriend is a vet tech, and from what I understand animals being born with no "butthole" Isn't exactly common, but it's far from unheard of. I believe they simply put one there. The 'exhaust' system is there, just no exit.
  9. Regardless of what T-case gears you use your highway mileage is going to be the same, since they all have 1:1 HI Range.
  10. From what I've seen, re-gearing axles is a lot cheaper than doing a T-case. I've been told Teralow 4:1 T-case gears can run upwards of $1000. You'd have to. The lever for the rear case would be your standard 2HI - 4HI - N - 4LO, and the front case would just be HI - N - LO. Just to offset any confusion, I am not running a dual case setup.
  11. It really wouldn't matter which one went where. I would put the 4:1 one up front though, simply for convienence. That way you wouldnt have to bother engaging two levers for normal(2.72) 4 Low. You'd only bother with the 4:1 stick if you really really needed it.
  12. :???: Uh, that's still only two ranges, just lower. No, it's three. If the cases have different ratios, it gives you three options. Say the front case has 2.72:1 and the rear has 4:1 With just the front case in Low, you have 2.72:1(2.72 x 1) With the front case in HI and the rear in Low, you have 4:1(4 x 1) With both in Low, you have 10.88:1(2.72 x 4)
  13. ..OR you could spend a boatload of money and run 4:1 in one an stock 2.72 in the other for 3 low range options.. 2.72, 4, or 10.88. Which would change that crawl ratio from 119.21 to 175.3
  14. Depends on how low you want your crawl ratio. Actually just had this conversation with Jeepco last night. Let's say you have an Ax-5, a Teralow 4:1 NP231, and 4.10s 3.93(1st gear) x 4 (low range) x 4.10(axle gearing) = 64.452:1 Crawl ratio. Now with the same Ax-5, 4.10s, and dual regular NP 231s. 3.93(1st gear) x 2.72(low range) x 2.72(low range) x 4.10 = 119.21:1 Crawl ratio. (that's 3.8MPH at 5000 rpm with 31 inch tires by the way) Another advantage to a doubler is you can run either 2.72 or 7.39 low range.
  15. What order are you shippng them out in? Got a bowling tournament this weekend and kinda wanted to show it off ;)
  16. My 88 XJ wasn't the actual olympic edition, but it had a sticker in the left rear window that said Jeep was a proud sponsor of the 1988 Olympics.
  17. lol he worked fast cause I walked him through it.... ;)
  18. Lol dude that's awesome. welcome to the club btw.
  19. Nice truck! I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and say it's a... 90 swb Pioneer 2wd 6cyl 4.0. 5speed How close am I?
  20. My red one leaked once, right after I got it. Never did it again, so I think either the moonroof wasn't down all the way or the door wasn't closed all the way.
  21. I think he'll be alright, I've made the trip on I-94 to MN several times and I believe all of them are full rest stops. I'm pretty sure they got rid of all the outhouses with gravel parking lots.
  22. ...kinda. To be more specific, he will be rescued. He's spending the night at the rest stop, and his brother and grandfather are getting him in the morning. He didn't want to leave his truck there overnight, since it would most likely be missing when they got there tomorrow.
  23. He's running his third Ax-5 behind a Camaro Series II 3800. Soon to be 4th.
  24. Both my 88 and 89 4.0 XJs had problems with the engine dying when you'd push in the clutch and not feather the gas. Never figured it out. Some suggestions that had been made to me were a bad IAC.
  25. Just got off the phone with him, and we've got a plan for when he gets it home. He's gonna end up with a spare, that should probably be strapped in the back of his truck along with all the tools to do the swap. God knows he'll need it...
