Have you seen what we drive? We're not hoity-toity fancy people. :rotf: Is your back yard yours, or do you share? I'm sure a lot of people on here own a tent.

I have a Razr. I hate my Razr. Takes decent pictures though, but the texting setup can be annoying at times. I still type everything out, use punctuation, even though they make it enough of a pain that most people wouldn't bother. I liked my first phone better, it was an LG something-or-another, didn't text, take pics, didn't have any games, or even a color screen. It could send and receive cellular phone calls. I cannot stand the texting shorthand. :wall:

Yes, they're everywhere. Almost every Jeep I see on CL has a 4.0L V6. (If you don't know the difference, don't specify.) Some of them are indecipherable. I really got a kick out of the 86 XJ with the inline 300 motor, and the 87 with the 2.8L V6. And, of course, all the larados, coommaanncchheees, charakees, 4.0 HD and HP engines (they were in the same post, along with the larado and the camero). I can only remember seeing one Jeep post that everything was correct. I went and looked at it, and bought it. Is it really that hard to read over what you've written before you post?

Converting from a Peugot to an AW4
Geonovast replied to cracker's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
If the pilot bushing was indeed part of the crank... why would you need to remove it? Does part of the converter actually sit in that hole? I've never had an automatic apart. -
Is it just me or is there some organization out there with the sole purpose of destroying the beds on our trucks? I've been lucky, but had a few close calls last year. Seems like every week there's a new post of someone getting hit in the bed. Glad you're ok though. I hope she has to pay for every cent of you getting a new bed and axle.

Not quite up-to-date, but it's the only one I have of them together.

Hm... well it sounds like we'll have enough sober drivers for me to leave the XJ at home.

I'd sue the mechanic. There's no way to properly fix that, not that I can think of anyway.

Truck won't run. *VIDEO* Need idea's
Geonovast replied to Qui Gon-Jinn's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
You can change the pump with the tank in the truck, that's what I did the first time I changed one. However, I strongly recommend dropping the tank to do it. 1. You can see what you're doing. 2. You don't have to struggle to find room for the hammer to get the lock ring on/off. 3. You don't have to worry about crap falling in the tank. 4. Fumes don't give you a headache. 5. With it out, you can pop one of the vapor line grommets off and take a look inside to make sure the rubber stopper is in place and your sending unit won't shake itself apart. 6. It's a lot easier to get the rubber O-ring to reseal. The only advantage I can think of by doing it in the truck is that the dropped D.S. makes a nice pillow. You may save the time of dropping the tank, but I would take the few extra hours to make sure you don't have to do it a second time because you ran around all winter not being able to fill it past 3/4. -
Is there a height difference between 4wd and 2wd XJs? All 8 XJ's I've had were 4wd.

Are you getting spark? CPS is one of the first things I'd try to rule out. -
Hi, I'm Correy. I'm from Marshall. That's in Wisconsin. I like Jeeps. I have three Jeeps. They're pretty. One's red. One's blue. One's red. They're loud. I don't know what mufflers are. I have a problem. My Jeeps take all my money. But it's ok. I like my Jeeps. They make me happy. I'm Correy.

Gage swap 89 comanche.......
Geonovast replied to jeep_freek88's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Any 87-90 XJ/MJ 4.0 5 speed 4wd cable with the same cruise option will be identical to yours. An automatic cable should work(may be the same, I don't know) since the AW-4 is a little longer than the 5 speeds. And yup, 91+ doesn't have a speedo cable, it's all electrical. -
I wouldn't have thought they could either. I don't think I would. I had 235s on my first two XJs and they looked pretty stuffed. I definitely wouldn't put them on my XJ now, being an auto on 3.07s...
-
I suppose they'd be beneficial if you managed to run out of gas as well.
-
I did that for him (or is it "to him"?) after he misspelled comanche and then fixed his misspelling with another misspelling. :D I know, I'm the one that called him out on it... both times. I was just makin fun of him again. :rotf:

Torque specifications for hub
Geonovast replied to Akula69's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Are you sure you got the hubs for the right year? They did change them at some point. -
Hey Pete, I saw someone on here had Can NOT Spell Comanche. How can I get that?
