  1. Each one has a seperate UPC code I think... we took two in (one for each of us) and the cashier studied them rather closely to make sure they weren't the same before accepting them.
  2. Looks great
  3. Personally I wouldn't DD anything with any locker, but just a rear shouldn't affect your handling much, just make you wear down tires if you turn a lot. But then again, by the time I lock anything it will be selectable front and back.
  4. I've thought about it, and it wouldn't be that bad length-wise since the tire wouldn't stick out that much further than the bumper.
  5. Probably made them jealous since I've been driving the XJ almost exclusively since I got it.
  6. He was telling me about these as he was hooking up one to tow from my house too.
  7. KFC bought me lunch today
  8. If you're very talented with a plasma cutter, can work metal and weld good enough, you could probably make the cab removable, which in itself would probably give you a 2-3 body lift. I never saw the point of a body lift more than an inch. Why stuff the bigger tires if you don't gain any flexibility from it?
  9. I agree there, if it's not broke, why fix it? Maybe he's planning to break it. :rotf: I'm gonna be coming down to MO on Friday, and we'll be going back up late late next week. If you're having transmission troubles I can definitely stop by and take a look.
  10. Yes the 2.5 used a GM 60deg V6 bolt pattern. There may be input shaft length differences however, and getting a clutch to work may be a problem. Why do you want to put in a chebby transmission? Is there a problem with your AX-5 or AX-4?
  11. I'm starting to think you're planting these.
  12. Both my 91s had the spindle assemblies on the 2wd axles. As for the list in your sig... the last year for the XJ was 01, and in 04 the Grands weren't using AW4s. Your 04 Grand Cherokee is a WJ and I believe it'll have a 42re.
  13. The NV 3550 has an overdrive of 0.78, which is barely better than the AX-15, with 0.79. The 2.5 can barely handle the AX-5's 0.85 overdrive, even on 4.10s. Besides, I think he's looking for an automatic.
  14. I drive through Iowa on a fairly regular basis
  15. There's really no need for the comfort setting. Just makes you look like a grandma when accelerating up an onramp and I don't see how it saves any gas.
  16. Once you get the bolts out, go buy replacement regular hex head bolts. Once you have the fun experience of getting them out, you don't want the even funner experience of getting them back in.
  17. Should be 3.55. But that's not guaranteed, I just picked up an 88 4.0 auto that I'm 95% sure has 3.07.
  18. M'kay then. Well, other than too much oil... is there anything that could cause the oil pressure to be too high?
  19. M'kay... I've got an extra gauge sitting around, but I don't know condition of that one. I could swap it though and see if there's any difference. :dunno:
  20. Ok... I decided to just change the door since the donor door had no dents and was rust free. I got the door on, but I must be shim stupid, I can't get everything to line up right. Door closes and latches, but the top of the door seems to be in too far and it's really, really hard to open. Is there some kind of procedure for that? I had to take the top shim out just to get the stupid thing to close. I don't have the shims from the donor door, just the ones that were on the truck.
  21. They ain't gonna have them at Wal Mart...
  22. f-o-a? Frame Over Axle? I tell ya, if you were FUA then you had a problem.
  23. Nice lookin truck! Would be cool to see some videos of it racing. Which motor does it have?
