  1. It's pretty easy, if it's a symmetrical oval, it's a 35. If it's bigger on one side than the other it's a 44. Another way to check is if it breaks when you look at it, it's a Dana 35.
  2. If you post up pics we can tell you for sure.
  3. Your front will be a Dana 30, and your rear is probably a Dana 35. Your gearing should be 3.07:1. None of that is 100% for sure, because Jeep did weird things sometimes and POs may have changed them.

Yeah I've heard variations of that joke too... but what most of the arguments about that girl get to it... If god's all powerful and you're gonna pray to him to heal your kid... why did he make doctors? Both her parents got charged with secondary voluntary manslaughter, child neglect, and some other various things. They're sitting their asses in prison for about 20 years I think.
  5. Honestly can't remember... but I know that the newer TRE would not thread into the older turnbuckle.
  6. When I put a 88ish D30 with steering on my 91 4.0, I tried to just unthread the turnbuckle until it popped off the TRE, to avoid removing the TRE. When I went to put the older axle on, they were different diameters, so I ended up having to take the TRE off anyway.
  7. I would imagine it was an option with the Up Country.. not just later models. Bro has a 98 Sport. I'll have to take a peek next time I'm by his truck.

These scares wouldn't be nearly as bad if the hardcore vegans and health hippies weren't trying to ruin the general population's immune system. Those people didn't piss me off as bad as they do now until a set of parents here in WI decided to let their 11 year old daughter die of diabetes because they decided to pray instead of taking her to the hospital.
  9. I think since you did the cluster swap already you might as well just get an OEM gauge. No headaches, and it'll look right. I had a Renix full cluster I just sold the speedo out of, but unfortunately the fuel gauge was already missing.

Hmm... my score seems low now, but I didn't do any flips.
  11. Have a front shaft retubed to be longer.
  12. Clogged fuel filter is what I'd look at first.

  14. I just went from 205/75s to 235/75s on 3.07s and while it isn't toooo bad, I'm still looking forward to the 3.55. Well, the front is 3.55 anyway...
  15. At least those XJs look like they were properly done. That CJ looks just... bad.
  16. Damn, and I thought the full size chebbies around here with the 12" blocks on stock sized tires was bad. What's the point of a 24" lift if you end up with less ground clearance than you started with? Can that suspension even function?
  17. 4.0 doesn't have either...
  18. Partition, Partition, Partition! I have a 100 GB drive and I run 3 partitions. C: is 20, has OS and program files. D: is 70, which holds all my stuff, and E: is 10, and I ususally keep a backup OS on it in case I need to go in and delete something that's affected the primary OS. Plus, if I do need to format C:, I don't have to worry about backing anything up. Those are all on the same physical drive.
  19. :agree: There's no wiring you can get backwards. If you managed to get the plug in backwards, nothing would work and you'd probably short something out.

Being worried about that stuff is about as effective as being a hard-core nutritionist. When it comes to a bug like that, if you're gonna get it, you're gonna get it. And eating nothing but perfectly healthy foods might throw 5 years on the end of my life, but it'll probable get cut short with a nuclear holocost anyway, and I like not weighing 90 lbs and being able to support a half full gas tank with one hand while I push the strap hanger in into the cup.
  21. its not a older than a 90 so 91 and up not sure up until when they mad the 2.5 as i am completely unfamiliar with them 2.5 was made every year of the XJ and MJ.
  22. What's going to happen to it if you don't get it? If it's going to the scrapper, at least save the motor!
  23. You sure they had the ones for an 88? With them making the hatch out of metal in 97+, I'm sure the struts got stiffer, and when I was looking at them on my brother's 98 they looked different than I was used to.
  24. You can use any AX-5 external kit. 98's just the year he had. I have an 86 kit in my 91. Internals were only used 87-mid 93.
  25. Meh :dunno:
