I'm slightly confused as to what you're asking.
Swapping to an automatic, and then back to a manual isn't used as a temporary fix.
For an auto you're going to need the trans, flexplate, torque converter, automatic radiator, auto ecu, trans mount.
Also, pretty much the only auto you can use is a TF 904 out of a 84-86 XJ or 86 MJ without a ton of headaches. Not gonna be the easiest to find.
What do you mean by "newer style clutch"? The external setup is FAR superior to the internal. Also, automatics don't use slave cylinders.
It's going to be MUCH cheaper, MUCH easier, and MUCH more practical to simply fix your clutch setup, especially since you indicated you'd go back to a manual anyway.
What's wrong with your clutch? It's probably something fairly simple.
