  1. The AMC 20 was also a somewhat rarity, and only available in 86, but if you find an MJ 20, it would drop right in.
  2. Yeah, she really really didn't want the epidural, but with some of her other conditions, general could have actually put her blood pressure to fatal levels, so they talked her into the epidural. Everything went fine though. lol yeah. But that's fine, I'm sure we'll manage.
  3. Since you need to buy the bellhousing and all the clutch components, get and external setup! Should run you about the same cost-wise, and you'll be much happier with it.
  4. Jadzia Nerys Triggs was born on Monday, August 3rd at 10:01 P.M. 7lbs, 2oz, 18 inches. Unfortunately due to complications from Pre eclampsia, she had to be born via c-section, but everything couldn't have gone more perfectly. She's doing wonderfully, and has been generously quiet since about 5 minutes after being born.
  5. As a recent new father... You have my condolencees. :( Did you both jump into it fresh, or just you? My GF's got 2 older kids(12 and 9), so she should be able to coax me throught it pretty well. :rotfl2: She's just being stubborn and not wanting to come out. It could still very well be several hours yet.
  6. You mean the E-brake cable bracket? Last time I removed one of those, 2 of the 3 bolts broke off. I had to use a breakerbar with a pipe to get them out. A good thing you can do it soak the hell out of them with PB blaster every couple hours for a day, let it dry, then heat up the area around the bolt with a propane torch, then try to pull them out.
  7. Nothing's happening yet. She's been on the meds for awhile, but still not much has happened. She's refuses to have one of those things. I can't blame her. If it happens that a C section has to be done, she's gonna get completely knocked out. I'll get pics as soon as there's something to take a pic of. :D
  8. Yup, I should have a set of dead headlights sitting around if ya want.
  9. We're in the hospital right now, they're inducing and all that, but by tomorrow I should be a papa!
  10. There are many things that affect driveshaft length. Engine, transmission, transfercase, axle, and lift can all determine what length you need. There are at least 4 different lengths for a 2wd XJ, just depends on what those options add up to. You may get lucky with one, but none of us can say for sure either way. If you happen to have some 2wd XJ shafts laying around you can try them, they may or may not work. To top it all off, I'm basing all this off of guesswork. I've never tried or compared lengths to see if this will work.
  11. Here's some more end result pics. Taking out the garbage And my 4.10s :D
  12. Yes, a 2wd MJ will have to be shortened. You may get lucky with a 2wd XJ shaft, but take a lot of measurements before you go slapping it in there. Either way you'll need to put on a 4wd yoke. I made the same mistake. Next shaft I have cut down, I'm going to give them the 4wd yoke and have them put that on right away, since they have to replace the joints anyway to ensure a proper balance.
  13. Meh, videos are done uploading, and I'm feeling a tad better so here they are. And yes, I know I'm not a cameraman.
  14. The 4.0 was phased out because the plant that produced it(right over there in Kenosha), needed to completely re-tool to continue production, and they decided it wasn't cost-effective. So they basically tweaked that 3.7 in the KJ and called it a day. /on topic. Short answer: Never. If I ever wanted to own anything but an older AMC style Jeep, I wouldn't have owned 3 XJs and 3(technically) MJs.
  15. Nah it's fine. None of us had eaten there before, I'll just try to remember to stay away. I appreciate you paying that monstrosity of a bill. The headache I'm sure was just all those burning paint fumes and all that gear oil I played with.
  16. Pete, I think you like this thread too much. Also, your last one(155) got hotlinkblocked.
  17. Just a couple pics I took of the... convertible. I'll get the vid up and take some more pics of it's present condition tomorrow. And ugh... That pizza did me in. I don't think I'll ever eat there again. Horrible indigestion and wicked headache, pretty much as soon as we left. Hope you guys were ok.
  18. AX-15 behind a 2.5 isn't the easiest swap. You need a hard to find dakota bellhousing, and figure something out with transmission mounts. External setups for the AX-4/5 are not hard to come by.
  19. I've drawn up the general plan.
  20. You could be much, much worse. A certain Comanche-obsessed member of this here forum changes his mind of what he's gonna do at least 4 times in a conversation.
  21. That would be awesome.
  22. Cool, works for me. XJ's here, and I've got my dad's trailer too. No need to bring your trailer really, I'm sure we can scrounge up some cardboard so you can take back those wheel wells in the back of the ZJ if you want. Brent, no need to grab anything unless you wanna bring something to eat. I've got brats and gonna make some burgers.
  23. Yes XJ tanks fit. In the bed.
  24. I don't know about TPSs, but I've heard that most of the alftermarket CPSs are junk. It's probably BS. I never trust what the dealer says. My dad ordered a new Steering column quite a few years back.(Before I knew anything about Jeeps). Dealership told him he had to get one from a 91, and the only one available in the entire country had to be shipped from Kentucky.
  25. Well, at least you're legal Pete... :rotf:
