  1. One of them I got with the wrench, which was just like a box-end wrench but for a torx head, and the other one I had to use a bunch of extensions reaching back to the tailshaft of the T-case, and a friend of mine had to hold a wrench against the extensions while I cranked on it from underneath. Very, very loud snap when it broke loose, I though I'd broken an extension.
  2. The balancing weight on the DS can also fall off, causing it to vibrate.

10 am sounds good. Hopefully we can drop it in and have in running in a couple hours. I think I'm gonna yank the radiator. I didn't wanna mess with those tranny cooler lines... but I think it's worth it to not destroy the rad.

There's something going on this weekend... I finally got that  motor out, and so tomorrow I'm gonna finish re-sealing the new one and finish everything else on the truck, then on Sat it's going back in. So Brent, I could use a hand if you're still available.

yep, the worst kind of people :D What about WI traitor FIBs.. :smart:
  6. When I dumped the Renix era D30 on my 4.0, I couldn't just connect up the turnbuckles cause the TRE in the pitman was a different size. Dunno if it was a Renix/HO thing, or if the D30 had ZJ steering. :dunno: I guess my point is there are different sizes, so I would look into it.
  7. Remember... it makes your rear DS angle better, but makes the front one worse.
  8. Well, got'm out. Took a plethora of extensions, wobble extensions, and plenty of swearing, but they're out. A friend of mine came out to help, and she just held a wrench against the wobbles to the didn't collapse and manage to break it loose.
  9. There's no room for a hammer. There's barely room for the socket. Local shop in town is letting me borrow one of those fancy torx wrenches, and with the head off, it shouldn't be too bad.
  10. Well changing a radiator won't fix your head gasket problem. Sine that's leaking so bad, I'm sure your radiator is fine. I wouldn't worry about the radiator until after you get the head gasket changed.
  11. :shake: :ack:  If you're gonna buy a Ford, do it right.
  12. 90 was the last Renix year.
  13. Definitely. I don't put torx bolts back in unless replacement isn't an option.
  14. After googling a bit... I can't even find an E13. Does it exist? Gonna go try the E14 a bit more...
  15. Put a good CPS on the 2.5 so it'll actually start without trying 4 or 5 times. That's what sucks about 91... they can't use a CPS from other years. Left: 91 Right: 92+
  16. I wanted to put a BA 10/5 behind a stroker
  17. I can't get'm out. My E14 socket is too big(just get a big snap when it skips over the edges) and my E12 socket is too small. No, I don't have an E13 or access to one. Is there anything else I can use to get these stupid things out? They're all all that's holding the motor in at this point.
  18. Click on user controls then under post count is "see posts", then click that the brings up your history, find your first post and copy and paste. :smart: I tried that, but I have almost 2,450 posts. I click on see users posts, and it says 2392 matches found. I went to the last page, on the bottom, but I'm 99.9% sure it's not my first. :dunno: The date on that post is also 2 weeks after my join date... I know I didn't wait that long to post.
  19. I don't remember... is there some way to tell?
  20. Bolting a bellhousing to it doesn't take much time or effort at all. If you have one available, just do that.
  21. Just saw that on Yahoo, really sucks.
  22. Yup, sure did come home with me.
  23. What was the reason for the motor change?
  24. Yessir. Hopefully I can pick up the "new" motor in a day or two and get'm swapped out. I figure After I get the motor out, I'll drop the trans a few inches and swap T-cases while I'm at it. Should be a lot easier with no motor in it. Also, should be easier to fix the sway bar problem without a motor in it.
