  1. Still redirects
  2. Front rears? The D30 is a front axle. Any XJ, MJ D30 will be your best bet, as long as you keep the knuckle/brake/bearings all current with the year of the axle. Keep in mind 00 and 01 XJ axles will be LP. TJ and ZJ D30s can be used as well, but they'll be LP.
  3. I tried that, but it redirects me to here: http://www.offroaders.com/Search/
  4. ^^ Can't spell banana.
  5. :clapping:
  6. I think if you throw a good muffler on it, it'll be fine. I don't see anything else wrong with it.
  7. You need to use the address for just the picture itself, not that page the pic is on, and IMG tags work much better. Fixed it for ya
  8. You can change the post title if you want.. :shake:
  9. Ask the two that jumped ship on me. I'd ask, but I can't find them.
  10. Are all 4 bolts holding the transmission to the motor tight?
  11. What do you mean by clicking sound? Does the motor at least turn over? The CPS is what tells the ECU when the pistons are in the right spot to turn on fuel and spark. With an unplugged CPS, the vehicle will not start or run. Is it possible you installed it backwards? You can test the CPS with it still attached to the bellhousing. Get a multimeter that can test OHMs. It should read between 125 and 275 OHMs.
  12. You may be able to get away with using the same pinion angle if no SYEs are involved... but I would set up your perches correctly. The distance between the perches on XJs and MJs is different. Cut the XJ perches off, and bolt everything together somewhat snugly. Make sure your axle is centered, and set your pinion angle. Tack the perches on, pull the axle back out, and finish weld them. MJs had different springs for 4wd and 2wd.. the 4wd ones sat a bit higher, that's it. You don't need the 4wd springs to have 4wd.
  13. Sounds like bad luck to me. :rotf:
  14. The only D35 I've ever had die on me was behind the only 2.5 I've ever had. i think thats a case of bad luck Probably, but it's fun to point out sometimes. Point is, a 2.5 can kill a 35 just from daily driving.

  16. It was never in the XJ, and only in the MJ in 86. Some sources say they never got them... but there's too many people, specifically on here, that have them factory in their MJs.
  17. Perch location is the last thing you want to be worrying about when picking up an axle. Not only will they most likely not be the correct width, but your pinion angle will also most likely be off. I seriously doubt the AMX/Javelin 20s are the same width as an MJ one.
  18. I would say chances are pretty good that you bent the metal tube going to the slave. Internal slaves you cannot changed without dropping the transmission... unless, of course, you pull the motor. Externals can be changed without removing the transmission.
  19. These are with the data up to Eagle's post on page 5. Graphs may not be completely accurate as some people omitted information Pete, I hope this was kind of what you were hoping to get.
  20. Sounds like more than enough reason to track down an AX-15. :clapping:
  21. ^^ needs to come over tomorrow for the superbowl, but talk jeeps the whole time instead.
  22. You're half right. The 242 has 2 options for 4HI. 4HI Part time and 4HI full time. Full time is AWD, and can be run on anything. Part time is the same as a 231.
  23. PM sent.
