  1. Your signature is an address on your computer. You have to upload it to photobucket, and hotlink it from there.
  2. I would take a look first. How does your 92's coolant sender hook up? Is it a round plug that goes onto a threaded part of the sender, or is it an actual plug that could use two pins?
  3. He's putting a 92 cluster into a 92. He's asking about stealing the sending units off an 88 for the 92. You can't just put an HO cluster into a Renix... the entire system's different. The Fuel gauge polarity problem stems from needing a new fuel pump sender... when 91-92 MJ fuel senders are rather rare.
  4. Your clutch probably needs to be bled.
  5. I'm not 100% on this, but I think a 87-95 AW-4 will work as long as you get the correct Torque converter and TCU. 96(97?)+ has the ECU and TCU built in... ECM controls motor and transmission.
  6. The oil pressure sender will be the same.. but the coolant one will not. 91 used the same sender as Renix, but they changed the plug in 92.
  7. Here's a good thread with plenty of pros and cons for both, and some good debate. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=18408& Quote from that thread...
  8. And here I thought you were reloading your stash of Jeep parts..
  9. Drive out here, we can trade.
  10. AX-15. But I'm HEAVILY biased toward a 5 speed, especially in light of recent events.
  11. That one looks like an AX-4/5 mount.
  12. :dunno: Look it up for a 90, that'll definitely be the one you need.
  13. No... you need an AX-15 mount. That's for the pukey.
  14. I was dazed... confused... lost, even. The unnatural cleanliness of the bottom of his truck is confusing to me.
  15. It's a problem that's easily overcome. :dunno: :rotf: :rotf:
  16. Is does on the AX-15 x-member because the mount sits in that recession. I can get a pic of mine in my 4.0 MJ tomorrow to compare.
  17. Looks fine to me. So that's why it looks like when the exhaust hanger bushing isn't completely destroyed and actually being used..
  18. ^^ should take a better picture of the tranny mount. :rotf:
  19. $466 holy gbus. What clocking spring?
  20. The one from Zach is the one in the truck, the original is still attached to the other motor in my carport. Tomorrow I'll pop the inspection cover off and see if I can find any cracks. I wanted to check the converter bolts too, anyway.
  21. Ok, sweet. Lemme know how much it is and I'll let her know.
  22. V8 ZJ sway bars are a direct swap. Make sure you grab the bushings too. 84-01 XJ, 86-92 MJ, and 93-98 ZJ sway bars are all interchangeable.
  23. A friend of mine is getting a 99 XJ without cruise, and she'd like to add it. I personally used this kit http://www.amazon.com/Audiovox-CCS100-U ... B00029WQTW a few years ago to add cruise to my 91 2.5 (At that time I didn't know how ridiculously easy the 91-96 factory cruise systems were to install), but I'm curious on your thoughts on what the best options would be. Would getting a factory setup be easier? I can't remember if the 97+ cruise is on the steering wheel or not.
  24. Nope... the 89 kit won't come with a new throwout bearing (very good idea to replace whenever the transmission is out) and the pilot bushing in that kit will have the incorrect internal diameter. Word is the CJ bushing is a $2 part that can be had at almost any part store.
  25. The pilot bushing that comes with the kit will not be the correct one. The hole diameter on the Renix and HO crankshafts are not the same - no idea why. Doesn't seem like something you'd bother to change. I believe the correct pilot bushing you need will be for a 79' CJ with a 304/4 speed.
