I had the same problem. I corrected it with the sway bar relocation brackets from JKS. You can see the pictures on page 9 of my build-up page here -> http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopi ... &start=120 . I used the V8 ZJ steering also - sans the drop pitman arm. Both MJ/ZJ set ups hit the passenger side after the lift - I stayed with the ZJ steering - Rich

The RE sway bar disconnect’s are on now, and WOW what a difference they make in the handling! I can actually say that this jeep drives nice. Now I feel confident in driving the jeep anywhere, not just to the shop and back. Here are a few pictures of how it looks -> One more thing I can scratch off my to do list - Rich

It was bring your axle to Dave’s weekend . Dave is a fellow Jeeper/good friend who has every toy Miller sells. He invited me over to help him and Bwatsoncj set up a 9 inch rear end for a TJ. I got there early so Dave could weld up the axle tubes on my custom Dana 60 axle for my Scrambler - > After welding the axle tubes on two Dana 60 axles, Bwatsoncj showed up with the project axle. The owner enlisted these guys to set up the axle to work with his Jeep TJ. The Mad4WD bracket kit included all brackets to allow the use of this axle to work on the rear of the TJ -> The kit included everything BUT the instructions for the bracket mounting locations. Thank gosh Bwatsoncj had the foresight to bring the Sh#@$% Dana 35 along for a model. After repeated measuring – re-measuring - triple confirming locations, we were able to tack weld everything on -> The owner of this awesome axle is going to reinstall the tacked up axle to check for placement and fit before the final welding is preformed. At the end of the day I able to get these guys to work on my JKS relocation sway bar disconnect brackets. I removed the factory Brackets -> Then Dave welded on the two inch higher JKS Brackets - Finished - > Next weekend when we return to finish the Nine Inch, I will have Dave weld on my LCA Skids while I straighten the LCA. :cheers: Thanks Dave! Maybe you can answer a question for me? How could lifting a solid axle vehicle cause the camber to change? :nuts: ? I know that the design of the Rubicon Express lift w/Drop Brackets lifts the truck "x" amount and keeps the axle close to the stock position {just 1" forward and 5.5" down} . I just doesn't follow logic, but yet it is true :headpop: . {Disclaimer - I did toss in a new front Dana 44, but it uses the 30 outers and is said to be identical} I am now thinking that the lift just exposed an existing problem? - Rich

Your idea of correct is different from mine. The other possible way to make the adjustment is with the Napa camber adjusting kit.

I am a flatlander, so when I hear that something is stuck I am not picturing it at the bottom of a hill ;) . Looks like it would be quite the project to get it unstuck. Nice shot :cheers:

Rich I finally got the pump in tonight and ran it. I think it's leaking though. No change in temp. 215 to 230. I'm going to wire my electric fan on a switch this week. If that doesn't lower the temp I'm gonna let it run outta coolant and oil and drive it till it blows and catches fire. :D I think you should try the thermostat trick after you fix the leaking water pump. It was either the water pump, or the new radiator that fixed my overheating problem :brows: . I am at just over 210 {215?} all day long in stop & go traffic. With the electric fan on I am at 210 on the button . I am still using the old plastic bottle with the hose clamp on it {guess it was fine} until the new Mac's comes in. Chico, how is it going for you? I really believe that drilling those two small holes at 6 & 12 on the thermostat did the trick. I did not have to burp the system :nuts: ! I filled up the radiator from the top and through the thermostat housing with the top hose. Ran it until it got hot - filled the bottle after it cooled off. Ran it again {did not get as hot} - then I topped of the bottle. That was it; overheating problem gone 8) . I think the cowl hood helps keep the temp down also - Rich

Chico, I just picked up a new waterpump. I can't believe that you are still running warm. I have not started to take things apart. When you say "since you have the header off" you don't mean front clip - do you? I was hoping that there was only that steel peice on top to take off? I guess I will find out soon enough. I can't get mine to run 20 minutes without boiling over, so that 3-6 hour Prestone flush is out for me. Good luck and keep us posted - Rich
