Got some good stuff in today from Quadratec and Amazon. I already had front drivers and passengers side floor mats from Rugged Ridge. The Quadratec mats look like the came off the same assembly line. I got the one piece mat for the back seat area -> This is an awesome fit and thick. The I picked up the cargo area mat before -> After-> not the same same thickness and construction like the interior pieces but still nice. Not sure what took me so long to get rid of this thing that the previous owner left me -> I also got in the Nilight LED flood lights! These are nice. Built well and look great -> I can’t wait to get them hooked up

Delta lights . Look at this crap -> After 3 years these “water proof” Delta lights reflectors are rusting. I spent a lot of money on these and I had hoped that they would be concerned about this. Well, I called them and they said we would like to see pictures of them. I sent the pictures and all they said is that they needed my receipt. Darn it - I cannot find it and I can’t remember where I bought it from?? Quadratec said no, so no where to go now. They told me they would give me the replacement lenses at cost. Not what I hoped for, but ok. Sent me the email with the cost - $38.32. I was just going to order today and re-read the email. $38 each. I will never buy anything from them again and I will let everyone know that they do not stand behind their products. Granted no receipt but obviously a serious flaw in the product. I just ordered two Nilight LED 7” lights for $21 with coupon off Amazon. They have a 2 year warranty and 2200 feedback rating at 4 stars. I will just use the Delta wiring harness with them. For 21 dollars I am willing to try them out. Delta =

Part of my "I don't remember this at all" fixes was the replace the dash. I thought the jeep had a perfect dash until I found these pictures. Here is a look at some of the cracks in the dash -> Removing the dash -> You can see the rust that was behind the dash in this picture -> A closer look -> While I had the dash out, I took the opportunity to polish up the gauge cluster glass with some Novus plastic polish. Before -> After -> I can only guess that I had gone to the Pick n Pull to get a new dash . Here is how she looks today -> I guess I have more upgrades to discover other that the obvious ones. TBC

I bought the XJ knowing the rear axle was on its last leg. The gears were howling and binding up. I had a D44 out of an 87 Cherokee sitting behind my buddy's shop. It was going to go into the Damien MJ project, but this was a priority at the time. It is amazing that I had not removed the spring perches, because I am always jumping the gun on these things. I can only guess it was because the welder broke?? I already had the new spring perches ready to go on. The first thing I did was lift it up to working level with the fork lift . I took off the diff cover and to my surprise the gear ratio was the same as the front axle. Everything looked good inside -> So I put the OX cover on it and filled it back up with lube -> Used the fork lift again and lifted the back end up to get axle out - I can't remember doing this, so I am glad I have the jack stands and wheel chocks in place -> Got the axle out-> And the new one in - again, with the help of the forklift -> Test drove it and was all good! It would have been better to have done this when I put in the RE lift kit, but it needed the axle right then. Next would be the lift and gearing. TBC

I have the same issue but with the automatic. I will try replacing the O2 sensor as it needs it anyways.

I did not notice the fenders either. I am amazed at the miles on that 2 door! I think it is a great price. I will be the progress

Wheeling in snow is on my bucket list . Oh how I would love a barn packed full of Jeeps and Jeep parts. Keep the paint it just reinforces how tough it is

Before you get rid of the front remember to try JB Weld. It can do amazing things

Is the XJ pre-96? I was just telling someone that I used to find 4 to 5 older XJs in the junkyard all the time. Now just nothing but 98 and newer. Now that I am building mine it is no fun trying to get replacement parts - like a working clock hint hint

I have horrible memory and that is why I did the Comanche build up page. I can look back and see most of the things I did to it. I bring this up because I was going through my backup drive and found pictures of things I had done to the Cherokee. I really wish I had started this build up way before this. I forgot so much. One thing was that the dash wasn’t in the condition it is in right now. Apparently the dash was all cracked up. I must have went to the pick n pull for a new one because I have pictures of it being replaced . So, this is going to be a kind of a Benjamin Buttons build page. I will post up what I find and try to figure out how it all went down, so I won’t forget again

I am not sure how to figure out points either lol. I think i remember snapping a few of those removing my hvac

Just made the most important upgrade to this Jeep. A few hints to what it is . It has side bolstering, cup holders, a 3 point harness, and comfortably seats one! Is that enough hints lol.

Very strange with the oil pressure . Just took picture of it now and close to 40 at idle

Lol. Unfortunately they do not dim. Did not see the oil pressure gauge. I just know it is a lot higher over idle. But low is better right

It’s decorative as I can see no benefits other than easy access to winch mounting bolts. Glad you like it

Geeze, it has been so long ago that I first saw this bumper at Jeeptober festival in Florida. I had planned for this bumper to go on my maroon 86 MJ, but I sold the Jeep during my downsizing campaign. I am still in love with this bumper and am glad I have a Jeep to put it on. I got the bumper from a guy in Louisville Kentucky. He is James with RLC Welding and Fabrication. I got this bumper so long ago that I hope he still is in business. The phone number is/was (502) 403-6832. Had it in storage for at least 5 years and finally painted it semigloss black. Then slapped it on the Cherokee with some Delta fog lights and a winch. Some pictures of the amazing bumper-> I think you can tell that I am a big fan of this bumper

When I say night and day improvement, I am not exaggerating! I purchased the interior LED kit for the XJ ,with the overhead console, from One Way Light on Amazon. I paid $50 for the kit and It came with a lot more replacements than I was expecting . As you can see from the pictures it is an incredibly noticeable improvement! The LED’s are all clearly marked and easy to install. Here are the pictures of what I have installed so far. Before -> And after -> Oh Yeah
