  1. Thanks to nickintime’s YouTube episode, I saw his center console switch set up and wanted to copy it. I am also putting in a remote winch setup as he described in his video. First thing I did is buy a 3 switch mounting plate off Amazon for my two locker switches and the other for backup lights? I cut it the bottom of the coin slot and bolted down the plate with stainless steel button head bolts -> I am putting in remote winch controls and need a spot for the two switches. Then, like I said, I saw nickintimefilm’s shifter cover plate with two rocker switches in it! I copied his placement and cut out the holes. I have the winch power switch and the in/out switch mounted in the holes. Came out nice -> installed -> I already have the winch, so I will post all of the installation details as I complete the upgrades. TBC
  2. My battery tray is falling apart so this is a good time to upgrade. I looked for one that would be a better solution to hold down the battery, but there are not a lot of options that I could find? So, I am familiar with JCR Off-road and they had one available. I ordered one from Amazon and it arrived in 3 days. Here it is -> I will have to post up pictures after I install it.
  3. Yes, the floor pans were issues in most of mine too. Lol, never get rid of mine either. This new XJ will be the only one with new paint!
  4. Had the day off, so I took a little time to run speaker wires and install the New JCR Off-road cubbie mate. I did not want to fill that spot up with an expensive sub box and otherwise that spot is useless. This at least gives the area some options. I really like JCR’s product designs but their powder coating is a little on the skimpy side. Only thing I did different is replace the screws with some stainless steel button head bolts and nuts. Looks pretty good. What am I going to put in there lol

  10. Yep, interested. I can’t figure out how to pm you?? Could you pm me and I can reply to that?
  11. Thank you for the ideas!
  12. Any one selling one of these? -> They are no longer made, so does anyone know where I can find a used one?
  13. Thank you
  14. I am just going to go with a renix header and avoid all the guess work and modifications. Thank you.
  15. I have been searching over on naxja to get an answer on aftermarket headers for the renix motors but have not found the answer I am looking for. I hope someone here has some input. Q: 1990 4.0 Renix motor and I don’t want the EGR. Will a non-renix header fit on the Renix motor and without modifying the stock setup?? I hope that somebody has done this successfully.
  16. Ok, it’s a mixed bag over the new exhaust. I can now feel the transmission shift. It definitely has more power but I still do not have any power when I punch it. I am going to follow cruisers page and test the tps and do the rest of his tips. It is a lot quieter to the point of I can now hear how bad the header leak/cracks are.
  17. Getting my exhaust put on! New converter, muffler and tailpipe. It’s all welded exhaust. I am not sure if I am going to need anything from the converter forward yet. Going to the beach with the family so I don’t have to wait. Pic ->
  18. That is fantastic Pete. I will wait for you to get back in town in a few weeks.
  19. The white Comanche club.com windshield banner to put on the rear window.
  20. Good cause I think it would look great! Let me know if you have some available
  21. I REALLY need a new exhaust and it is loud. So I am sure I can wait a few days and find out either way. Thank you for the idea.
  22. Yes, it is sucking gas bad. I can watch the gauge move. I am sorry to ohm but yes I had to replace the hose to the MAP sensor when I broke it lol. Not sure if it running rich or not. Forgot how to check? I will be changing all the sensors hopefully soon. Thanks
  23. Thank you all for the feed back I have not checked the tps yet but will. I hope it is a clogged catalytic converter because I am getting a complete new exhaust system this week. The muffler and catalytic converter are rusted, so could definitely be that! i will check the O2 sensor, but I thought I changed it?? It has been sitting for three years and I can’t remember? Ye, it is down shifting. I love your renix write up! I just started reading it and I am starting with the grounds. Even bought a an upgrade kit to help out. Thank ahain everyone. I will keep you updated - Rich
