  1. Found some pictures of the jeep in action -> Just really love this shot -> Go team blue -> Not too shabby ->
  2. My obsession with Jeeps started after seeing my first CJ8. It was a maroon Scrambler on 33" Thornbirds - just awesome looking. I had to have one, so I started the search. Just happened to drive by a used car lot and in the back of the lot was a 1983 CJ8! Talked price with the guy and said I will think on it. Went back the next day to buy it and I didn't see it . Walked up to the salesman only to hear somebody bought it after I left . After that, and seeing how much a clean one costs, I gave up. I ended up getting a CJ7 which I loved. Fast forward seven years I'm married and more financially stable and ready to pick up my dream jeep. I was able to find one for sale on CJ-8.com. It looked really clean from the pictures that were posted. I called the owner up and came up with a price and told him I was coming that week. No way was I missing out on another one. Enlisted a good friend with a truck and rented a U-haul car trailer and headed out to Arkansas. It was a 1984 with a chevy 305 V8, the T5 transmission, D300 transfer case, D30 front axle and the AMC20 in the rear. Brand new 33" tires and wheels. It also had cold air, new full length soft top and all the Laredo upgrades. After the new lift and tires - with soft top -> And topless with the best dog I've ever owned (Sophie) -> Then at this time a few changes were made. After the Micky Thompson Baja Belted tires wore thin I put on 37" tires. I also painted the soft top and put on some YJ half doors. It ended up going into storage for the next 10 years-> A couple of years ago, I headed down to get the Jeep home. Rented a U-haul truck and trailer and arrive home safely -> Setting outside for a few days to organize the garage -> TBC
  3. That would be great
  4. Can you please post how you wired them up when you get to that point? I think these are the ones I pulled from a MJ in the junk yard. The connectors are different on the ones I have. That would definitely help out
  5. I’m always impressed by your creativity and how flawless the ideas turn out - , righteous indeed
  6. Got mine Thank you
  7. I appreciate that ! I will check them out
  8. I just went down to the shop to look at the XJ and the MJ. They are completely different, so like you said a lot of fab work to get them to work. Now to find some made specifically for the long bed truck
  9. I didn't see the Rubicon in the post
  10. It depends on the look you’re going for. I like white letters out on smaller tires for a classic look-but I always have mine inside. Pinned down, I would say IN.
  11. Another Floridian? Can you tell if they are both D44’s. And do they have the lockers in them?
  12. Dang and I don’t have either of them to look at. Well, I will have to go another direction then. I bought some steel to make one myself. I just need to find out if it’s still at my friends house. Thanks Pete
  13. That’s something I never thought of. They are mounted on the Cherokee with I believe with two feet and the pinch sleeve
  14. Lol - not good when I am about to go back to stick shifting
  15. Ouch. Not even running - geeze. I have only used it a couple times for the 10 years I've owned it. I thought hmmm I should get more than the eye and ear protection on, but I wasn't going to be doing much - I've got this. Will definitely be thinking about that next time
  16. I was thinking about taking the rock sliders off of my Cherokee and putting them on the Comanche and looking for opinions. The thing is they will not be long enough to go the full length of the sides. I've mocked up in green about where the rail would start and stop -> This is how they look on a Cherokee -> This is what got me thinking about it ->
  17. I know, I should have known better. Lotto lol. Yes I should get me a pair for Christmas! I had protective eye ware on but shorts and sketchers on duh. In my defense, we don’t do a lot of chainsaw work here. I haven’t used on in 5 years at least
  18. Got out the chainsaw so I can cut the hedge down to a manageable level. I needed to pull out a branch that was intertwined in the the rest of the uncut shrubs. I relaxed my other arm that had the chainsaw in. The chain was still spinning and it caught the front of my shoe 😳. Felt like a real idiot. Dayeem did I luck out ->
  19. Lol could they at least used a ford truck bed on it
  20. Geeze, I can’t remember what auto parts store around here (advanced auto??) has axles delivered to us , but they use a pretty sweet composite box to ship them in. I can figure out who on Monday if you need me to? It’s a pretty steep deposit on the container as I recall, so you are compelled to get them back lol.
  21. Look at how sweet that Comanche is - triple
  22. How do you get so much detail in them? I end up knocking teeth out of mine while making them lol.
