Pete that looks like it says June 87 for the date right? Notice the MJ in question has a set of YJ gamblers on it, which by my count did not come as an option on the YJ untill 1991, just interesting that Jeep had castings for the wheels for years before deciding to put them into use in 91.....

Id like to see somebody do the header panel vent mod. Very nice! Good score Pete!

my first thought. i wonder how the "driving in the rain" issue would be handled though? i suppose theres nothing right there that wouldnt care getting wet but still.

thats one sweet looking truck. I'm not a fan of the moldings but it does give it that character. if it wasnt a mall crawler they'd be ripped off/broken on the first trail ride

not all places in the world that can make use of 4wd require high ground clearance. sand comes to mind. so does this thing we call winter. comanche.gif

but this particular Jeep can only dream of being a mall crawler. :( it's currently under a car cover in a nondescript chrysler storage building buried among a hundred other special rides. :fs2: but I guess the good news is that it wasn't crushed. :D

THe only thing I don't like is it doesn't have the trade mark MJ vents on the b pillars,.

That's why I never liked the truck. They tried to make it look futuristic and after seeing the '94 ranger splash and nite versions of the full size I can see that. I don't like the fiberglass running boards on any truck. I think they should have put a V8 in it but in '87 V8's were a joke. I always thought it looked like a Cherokee with a bed cut in and that's because of the lack of vents. I'm sure it was the shiznit back in the day and of course it was too cool to make production.

^Gas filler and interior... LOVE IT!!!

However, the factory does have the molds and if enough of you elbow your local dealers a similar version might be in your future.

Is it too late?!

Yeah, those seats look freaking nice.
