AnotherOldJeepGuy Posted December 25, 2025 Posted December 25, 2025 Sometime around Dec 20-21 the CC forums has become very slow to respond for me. I don't see this delay on any of my other browsing, just CC. Has anyone else noticed this?
Pete M Posted December 25, 2025 Posted December 25, 2025 I have noticed that at times. but most other times it's ok.
AnotherOldJeepGuy Posted December 27, 2025 Author Posted December 27, 2025 My access continued being sluggish for several days so this morning I cleared all the cache and cookies from my browser and that seems to have fixed it

This post did work but it took me to a screen that said Bad Gateway. I have logged on with a different (older, slower, retirement pending) PC and (again ) is seems to be working.... but will it last?....

Belay that also , it worked long enough to get back to the thread, and type the above, but as soon as I hit Submit Reply, it stalled again. I normally use Firefox browser, but I tried Duckduckgo and even MS Exploiter all still hanging up. So this is on two different computers and 3 different browsers, so I guess it is real and not my computers, either way it sucks! This is the most useful sight I ever use!!
Ωhm Posted December 27, 2025 Posted December 27, 2025 F5=Refresh. Sometimes that helps to push it along to the next screen.
Pete M Posted December 27, 2025 Posted December 27, 2025 hmmm... we may be running low on memory again. I'll look into it.
AnotherOldJeepGuy Posted December 27, 2025 Author Posted December 27, 2025 Here's the screen I got when it failed to responds with the expected info...
llhat Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 and still sluggish as times and also get the 502 screen at times...
hgeranium Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 I've also been getting this. Sometimes for an entire day; maybe for the last two months off and on. EDIT: After trying to go back to edit my response to say my loading times have been awful immediately after posting that, I got hit with the bad gateway lol.
AnotherOldJeepGuy Posted December 30, 2025 Author Posted December 30, 2025 Yeah still an issue for me as well. It seems that if I attempt to navigate 5 different times, at least two of them will bog down repeatedly.
eaglescout526 Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 Yeahhhh CC has been having some issues. We’re looking into it, with the knowledge we have.
eaglescout526 Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 I dont think its CC or the server, I think its the host.
Pete M Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 it's certainly annoying but the site mostly stable so this is going to need to wait until after the new year. honestly, we need an IT person.
AnotherOldJeepGuy Posted December 31, 2025 Author Posted December 31, 2025 Not critical just annoying!
llhat Posted January 7 Posted January 7 and still occurring... this afternoon, 'ok' but this morning 502 gateway errors.
AnotherOldJeepGuy Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 @Pete M, @eaglescout526 Just wanted to comment that no one here is pestering our great admins! But keeping track of how long this goes on, and that it is an issue for multiple users, just might be useful ammo to provide to the host at some point. So in that effort, I too got several more 502's earlier today....

So in that effort, I too got several more 502's earlier today.... Thank you. We’re doing our best with the knowledge we have. Unfortunately we were kinda left hanging when a member who did the up keep didn’t exactly pass the torch to the next person, so we’re more or less looking for some good IT assistance. That being said, as far as the ‘host’ goes, I think it’s more the software host, but it is something if we can get a person to talk to to assist us with all this.
Pete M Posted January 8 Posted January 8 essentially we filled up our allotted space on the server, which shouldn't be happening. to temporarily fix that we've bumped it to the next payment level while we work to fix the various reasons why we got here. should run great in the meantime. the most obvious problem is the specific software that is supposed to auto-shrink images has stopped doing its job. don't yet know what the fix is, but Big_Mark is doing his best to poke around in the ones and zeros. further updates as events warrant
Ωhm Posted January 8 Posted January 8 I've seen that 502 Bad Gateway problem. Might mean nothing but sometimes when 'new items are posted' (auto update on activity window) 3 or 5 and sometimes up to 7 new items are shown (exact same post) at the same time. Screen REFRESH (F5) solves this and only leave the 1 new item.
Pete M Posted January 8 Posted January 8 hmmm... interesting. I gotta imagine that's related, but we'll see. thanks for the heads up
AnotherOldJeepGuy Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 Looks like the issue has been identified and it is being worked by @Big_Mark (yay), see post below and comment there if additional info needs reporting.
