Tire suggestions

Recommended Posts

Hey I’ve recently come across a set of eliminator rims so I’m looking for some tire suggestions for them. I’m thinking something that looks more sporty than off-road. I definitely want white letters too lol. Basically going for a little sport truck and I’m probably going to stay with 235/75 but I might go a little wider in the back. Thanks everyone

Both the BFG Radial T/A and Cooper Cobras are raised white letter tires that a lot of people run on older cars. I haven’t heard anything bad about either.

Both are reputable brands, probably hard to go wrong with either.  My parents had white letter Cooper's on their ZJ, they looked great.  I love the white letters on my Eliminator, though I have all terrain K02 tires.

This is a great look. Seriously considering these or maybe some street T/A’s.

My parents have these tires in a metric 35" tall size on their JK. They love them. Good traction in the wet or dry (can't vouch for how they do in the snow because it gets parked for the winter). Most importantly, they are not loud on the highway. They are a very good all terrain for street use and mild trails.

Indeed, one of the reasons I purchased the KO2s was due to their quietness.  My friend has a set on his 15 Rubicon Unlimited and they were way quieter than the stock tire.

The KO2s are a tremendous upgrade in noise and ride over the Chinese light truck tires I had before, the only downfall is the dry grip is way lower, it's easy to spin them and they sound like a cop chase scene in a 70s movie.

Part worn Tyres Southampton

i recently returned my 69 bronco back to stock suspension. i currently have 33 x12.5 x 15 pathfinder a/t tires. they look new but have a 2017 date code. i am looking for suggestions for a set of 31 x 10.5 x 15 tires which have a fairly aggressive look . ride good, and not too noisy.... and reasonably priced. i do not drive off road and not many miles per year. suggestions are much appreciated and maybe a closeup pic of the sidewall. it is also my understanding that the equivalent metric size is 265 x 75 x 15. the wheels are 9 inches wide.

BFG KO2s or Falken Rubitrek A/T01 would be my recommendation. The Falkens are fairly cheap too at $180/tire on Tire Rack. My brother has run a set on his J10 for about a year now and they perform really well in all conditions and are quiet. Here’s the best picture of them that I have.
