Finally installed the stainless latches, it was a pain in the a$$. I used stainless rivets for the lower brackets but there wasn’t enough room to get my riveter to work properly with the upper ones. I ended up using stainless allen head screws and washers/nylock nuts after countersinking the inside.

Today is the Happy Camper’s one year anniversary of being here in California, it’s been a great year! Today I removed the propane storage box shelves so I could add a fire extinguisher and have enough room for the dual propane valves/hoses and the sink brackets. I also made a liner for the bottom from a piece of the other half of the bed mat that’s in the camper.

you... blacked out 2 locations you plastered onto your trailer?

Yeah, the first is where it came from (Ben’s place) and the second is where it lives (my place), thought it best not to post those exact locations.:))

What do you do with an extra NOS chrome MJ bumper (thanks G)?

Put it on the MJ trailer of course!!! Also added a step bumper receiver in case I ever want to haul a basket.

I made a couple of brackets out of 1/4" steel plate and attached them to the brackets on the trailer and the bumper.

The trailer brackets are 42" apart while the bumper attachment points are 45" apart, so I used 1 1/4" zinc plated perforated square tube spacers on each side making up the 3" disparity (two 1 1/4" spacers and two 1/4" brackets = 3"), there's actually another spacer behind the one in the picture below for the lower rear bolt (it’s poking out in the above pic).

It was fun doing this in 105°+ weather the last three days. Now back to the third brake light.
