krustyballer16
Bringing back a dead thread, if anybody cares lol This Year's/Month's "scavenger hunt" is a little different... I've been building an LS swapped comanche this past year to be a street/strip truck and I've got about 400 miles on it and going to start taking it down the drag strip this weekend. Just a breakdown for anybody that cares (this might help with the challenge) It is a 1990 2wd, shorted. 8.8 3.73 swapped with a 1999 LQ4 6.0L with a 2wd 4L80e with a HD2 shift kit in it. Holley Terminator X Max. I threw in a sloppy stage 2 cam and matching valve springs. Had to put an LS1 intake on it to clear the hood. Naturally aspirated still, stock injectors walbro hellcat fuel pump with a fuel cell in the bed above the axle. Some 275/60/15 nitto 555r2s and some Assassin traction bars. Stock leaf springs with some Rancho 9000s on the rear also. 3200 lbs? Maybe. I'm taking it to my local ⅛th mile drag strip tomorrow then up to Indianapolis Saturday to a cleetus and cars event and down the ¼ strip there. Sooooo..... If you want to do this challenge, give me my AVERAGE ⅛ mile time and MPH AVERAGE ¼ mile time and MPH I have no idea what it'll run. Its not ungodly fast or maybe not even fast for what it is.... I'll do $10 off any purchase for each of the 4 numbers someone gets right. $50 off if youre the closest guess on all 4!

gogmorgo
15.7s @ 74? That’s the best I was able to pull in my 4.0/ax15 ZJ, although I wasn’t using an official timing system, just a phone app. Roughly 11s in the 1/8th at 60mph, based on the 0-60 time. DirtyComanche
I bet you got yourself a low 12 second car. In the 1/8th. Honestly, I think you should be able to do an 12 even in the quarter if you can get it to hook. I'm guessing that was the issue?
krustyballer16
Sorry guys, misplaced my time slips so took a few days to average out everything. ⅛ mile time and mph = 9.44 @ 78mph ¼ mile time and mph = 15.17 @ 92.5mph Slow! But I did do some adjustments to run a 5th time in the ¼ but got rained out...so might be faster now. I'll know next Friday in the ⅛.
scguy
Guessing your weight at 3600, put into a trap speed calculator, it estimates horsepower at less than 220. That seems awful low for an LS.

Never spun at all taking off or down the track...

I'm guessing 2.2-2.3 as that 15.17 and 92.5 kinda jive well. It varies with the powerband of an engine, but I used to see 0.1s taken off the 60' equal 0.15s off the ET. That was with my torquey midrange engines (72 Grand Prix 400 and 88 Trans Am 350). My 01 Trans Am LS1 is closer to 0.1s off 60' equals 0.2s off ET. Don't recall 60' time, but my 04 Grand Cherokee 4.7HO ran a best of 15.0 or 15.1 at 90 or 91.
