Update, I hate D35s!

Wellllllllllllllll, I was driving to school today when, after pulling away from the stop sign near my house, I hear a horrendous grinding noise. I pulled over to turn around to go home. It was a pretty tight driveway so I had to back into it to turn around because I didn’t want to back onto the highway. When I put it back in drive, now we have neutral and a terrible squealing noise. Turns out, the D35 (or probably an AMC35) rear just decided to give out. Perfect.

Find yourself an 8.25 from an XJ to put under it. That 35 you’ve got with the big nut at the hub is a two piece axle and needs to be put out of its misery.

The plan is either what you said or a D44

what are you thoughts on giving it a grille guard?

I do like it. That is a goal for the car for next summer right there. I have really considered getting a grille guard though because I really don’t want anything to happen to the front of this car.

Thats not a dana 35. That is an amc 20. It is not a bad axle, just needs a 1 piece kit.

These cars actually do have an AMC35 under them, it’s nearly identical to a D35 though.

Yes they do!

Please tell me it's staying till Christmas. 🎄

It absolutely is! It’s an extra 7.5’ fake tree that we had at home.

The Christmas tree on top is hysterically awesome :applause:

Nice work on the Eagle! I have always wanted one, but my other half hasn't been receptive to the idea.

Thank you! Most people think it’s ugly at first, but it grows on them. I’m not saying to buy one anyways, but I’m not saying not to either.
