neohic
Today was a busy day of hanging the remainder of the steel and wood siding. Trim, battens, crawlspace door, and then touch ups left to do.
89 MJ
Looks great! I'm sure its good knowing that you should have it wrapped up before the snow flies.
neohic
Not much has changed since yesterday, but most of the trim was painted and hung. Outside corner trim is started. I’m leaning towards a green door too. Same green as the funky green on my shop.

I’m ready to be done with the project. Not much else planned for outside stuff this year. Gearing up for redoing my welding table in the shop though. Highlights include a new (very, very old) bench vice, figuring better grinder storage (I might have too many), and turning a single basin stainless sink into a down-draft table with a small Lincoln fume extractor. neohic
Passed my inspection! 98% done though. The front door isn't happening this year but I do need to make a door for the crawl space. Very pleased with it!

neohic
Ugh… Not exactly the perfect time of year for this type of project, but we’ve got a homeowners insurance requirement to either move the little shed 10’ away from the house or reside it in fire resistant materials. I chose the siding route. The bottom will get the same skirting as the house and the cement board will get painted in the spring. I’ve got until early March to get things “insurance done” and I’m hoping for another weekend with workable weather.
neohic
There… … I fixed it. It’ll get painted in the spring.

Manche757
Your craftsmanship and attention to details continue to stand out. The right color orange for your front door would blend with the wood siding and with the gray making the color scheme pop.

The plan was to do a green door in the spring, but the existing red has grown on me. I’ll probably get enough to do the front door on the house along with the top half of the shed. Hasn’t thought of orange though…
