Truck won’t unlock

Great start to my morning. Had to climb in through the passengers side. Like the title says, can’t unlock my truck. With the key or from the inside.

Sounds like you get to take the door panel off and make see if the locking mechanism is all hooked up.

Like 89 says. The latch could be seized or the linkage is binding somewhere.

Weird. Started taking the arm rest off and it unlocked  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Always something with this truck

yeah similar thing for me yesterday. it wouldnt from the inside or out side but i shot some pb blaster in there ad jiggled a lot and it popped. my keys also made it harder becuase they arent they originals and i need to like put them all the way in and jiggle and pull out until it goes. (I'm gonna get new ones that say jeep because right now my keys say, " for gm cars" )

Yep, probably time to take the latch mechanism off and clean the old lube out and replace with new.

now is the time to lube up that latch mechanism.   I'd do both doors.

I have this issue with the passenger door of my XJ sometimes.  Just need to cycle the lock/unlock on the inside a few times while yanking the handle and it'll come loose.  Quite annoying

Mine does this when ever it nears 32, Have to climb in like Bo Duke.  I like the pb blaster idea to both sides. Or maybe just so grease, probably last longer?

yeah it was temporary i just shot it into the keyway to see if that would help and lo and behold.

 lithium grease sprayed through a straw is what you want to get in there while the door is open.

Power locks or manual? I know it happens on both, but just curious. My driver side does this sometimes also, especially when it's cold. I have power locks which will sometimes get it open after i open the pass side and start it for full juice to the locks. Otherwise, I have to reach across and lock it manually then give it a firm and fast push to unlock to get it to pop sometimes.
