Cheap 88, fine patina - Martinsburg , WV - $895

Recommended Posts

NOT MINE

https://martinsburg.craigslist.org/cto/d/inwood-jeep-pickup/7018792050.html

1988 Jeep Comanche , 6 cyl. 4 speed. 4 wheel drive. 7' bed. I purchased this PU to be used as a "farm vehicle" several years ago.

Have used it very few times and kept it in a shed. I put new tires (less than 50 miles), radiator, Fuel pump, etc.
Problems now are, needs battery and fix fuel injector leak. No body rust, runs good, does not burn oil.

It says it has a 6cyl and a 4 speed. I just assumed it was a manual, but I guess it could be an auto. I’m not used to people specifying how many gears their auto has.

I'll be passing right by Martinsburg next week on my way to pick up my son from WVU for Thanksgiving break, I may seriously have to pull off and take a look at this.

Ha! Thanks Dzimm.......hopefully it's not too far off the interstate. My main interest in it is the bed, I picked up a rust free short bed (just the bed) last year in...........Martinsburg, WV!, to salvage the wheel arches on to my truck when I get around to painting it.

If you plan on putting the flares back on just use front XJ fenders to patch the arches.  They fit almost perfect and you don't notice it at all with the flares on the truck.  Some of the flare mounting holes still line up too.IMAG1414.jpg.da831648cbe8cd6ddc511dc474a8b0fe.jpg

So how long before you remove those wonderful aftermarket graphics on the side? Lol

Glad you got it!

Removed them immediately because where it's parked now can be seen from the road and that for some reason screams UNREGISTERED VEHICLE.

Why they were put on there is unbeknownst to me? :dunno:

Yes, “unregistered” for sure!

Yeah, I've seen "Farm use" plates and rags but never this. Who needs to know it's a farm vehicle if it doesn't leave the farm?
