MeanLemons
I got a 88 with column shift and idiot lights. I got a full gauge to swap in. I’m actually gonna swap the transmission one day soon to a manual. Is the PRNDL indicator necessary? Can I swap the full gauges in without cutting the slot? Pete M
yes you can. you'll just be counting notches until you swap on the trans.
johnj92131
That is exactly how I am running a full gauge cluster in my column shifted 91 automatic.

MeanLemons
Guess my question wasn’t clear. Was it necessary to have the indicator while using the automatic.

Eagle
Ask Hornbrod where he got his external PRNDL. No need to carve up an instrument cluster.

MeanLemons
Obviously. I’m no stranger to doing that. and I see no need for external indicator when I’m gonna swap columns when I do the manual swap lol

87MJTIM
There is/was an 86 in a local JY that had a column shift auto with PRNDL on the column. It had a 2 spoke steering wheel but also had cruise. I don't remember if it was tilt.
