Mine went in fine. Check for petrified bulb grease in the bulb sockets.

Ended up returning mine and ordering a new pair of bulbs. They went on perfectly and 5 minutes later I had them installed and the housings back on the truck

Just in case anyone else is having a hard time installing them, it appears the lugs are occasionally in the wrong spot which makes it impossible to install the bulb.

Just wanted to post up I bought a set of these tail lights after reading this thread (thanks Don!) and they're working great for me too.

I wanted to brighten up the front end too so I got a set of these headlights;

Super bright, but kinda on the blindy side for on coming traffic.

.....just to add in my 2c here

I'm assuming they aren't DOT approved, which is too bad.

Yes,

No DOT markings.

I aimed them down a bit to try to take some of the glare away,

and they do have a pretty good beam "cut off",

but I think they're still too bright to oncoming traffic.

My MJ is a glorified yard truck at the moment, so I'll leave them in for now, till I find something decent that isn't so blinding to other cars.

Wow.....i got on my home computer and its shows free shipping, but on my phone i get the $50 shipping. All from the same link!?

Yeah I'm confused. haha

Link was to eBay.ca and your phone didn't know better to flip it to the .com version.  It was quoting you shipping to Canada.  And at $50 to ship to Canada they can shove the bulbs up their rearend sideways.

Also, Grote now sells DOT approved LED headlights that will fit our trucks, and apparently they're pretty good.  No link because I'm lazy.

Amazon doesn't seem to have good reviews.. and at $220 each I think I will take my chances with the $60 per pair non DOT

Summit has good reviews though

If I go legit DOT LED, ill probably buy trucklite

Trucklites work great and don't bother other drivers.  A smart choice.

Have both the Trucklites and the LED reverse lights installed.  Very pleased with both.

I don't like those reverse bulbs.  I bought it when I first got my MJ.  Broke one of them while gingerly putting it in the socket.  The other one went in just fine but it didn't last a week before it burned out.

Had to put in regular bulbs to pass inspection.

Try cleaning the crud and rust out of your sockets.

They were clean in the first place lol. The build quality isn't that great in the first place though.

I ll be tossing the lights out eventually anyway so I'm not too worried about the OEM lights for now.

Roger that. What can you expect from two bulbs from China for less than $20. They are still working in my truck amazingly.
