So what about the Wrangler SR-A's? Not just the "regular" GW's.

Glad to see it's still a mixed bag around here. Different opinions are always nice. Still not sure what tires I'm going to go for, since I have heard mixed things about the Wrangler Radials. A few buddies of mine had a set on their trucks and they did decent for light off-roading or just running around town.

After scoping out the price on the Laredo's, I might reconsider something else.  :typing:

I have the SR-A's on my truck. They came on the set of JK takeoffs I put on it. If I hadn't got such a good deal on these zero miles tires I wouldn't have bought them. Though I have to say on all the JKs we get through our shop the SRAs have had zero complaints. They are the factory tire JKs come with.

They are the factory tire that's put on the low-end JKs, not all JKs. You will be lucky to get 30K out of them while you're slippin' and slidin' around.

I had a set of SRAs on my Cummins and they only lasted 12k. They were completely bald. They are the worst tire I have ever used. They were so bad and Goodyears customer service was worse. They blamed everything but their crappy product. I have since sworn against all things Goodyear and will never use any of their products again.

Lol^^ . My uncle worked for Goodyear for 30 years transferring between Akron Oh and Michigan over the years . He retired working in the Chrysler division . I used to get the test tires for free when Goodyear was done . Needless to say unless I got a good deal on them I wouldn't run them especially the walmart wranglers .

On a side note he got a brand new company vehicle of his choice as long as it was Chrysler or Jeep ( which was always a Grand cherokee since 1993) every 2years .

The MJ had Good-For-A-Year Wranglers (not sure what model, it's been a while) on it before I got the Coopers that are on it now. On wet pavement, you'd think the truck had 400hp right off idle. Awful tires - to be fair they were a few years old but having them on the MJ was enough to make me never want to put Goodyear tires on any of my stuff ever again. Don't think I'm insulting people that have them on their trucks - just my opinion and experience.

What's the difference in the eagle sra and wrangler? Wife has a pair of Eagles on a nitro with 85k just replaced 2 of them but the other 2 looked good enough for 10k more. I have the wranglers take offs on my MJ not a great tire for traction, but I have no complaints on tread wear got them off a jeep with 10k and I would say I put 20k on since I had them and they are around 60-70% tread now. Also add these results are rotating tires every 6k

So what would be a good brand of tire that wouldn't break the bank? Looking for something light-duty; mostly highway but able to do some light trail-riding (not mudding, nor "crawlin")? Going to need a set for the XJ I just picked up as well here soon... some yokel put 255/60/15s on the poor thing, and made it look like it's got a V8 inside of it.
