Yeah, I gotta say, even I would be a whole lot nervous with that HP.  Our SRT8 Grand Cherokee has 470 hp and it's PLENTY up here in the thin Colorado air.

Good luck affording the gas in that thing. Got a friend with an '08 RS; slightly modified from factory specs. Nothing over the top, but he's still shelling out tons in fuel costs per week. Can't imagine how much this thing will suck down some serious gas.

 

Kind of like my Grand Cherokee, now that I think about it... Still a very slick car though. Does Dodge still plan on ending the Challenger's run with the '15 models?

Just saw a new report on it. Top speed is drag limited to 199 MPH! I doubt my dealer will ever see one, but I could be wrong, there are a few big spenders in town that would buy one. If we get one, Ill let you know and post pics!

I've rented a new Challenger, Charger, and a new Mustang, my buddy has a new Camaro.  I don't care how fast they are, they're all horrible to drive.  The side windows and rear windows are dangerously tiny.  They're death machines, you cannot see around you, the rear view mirrors are tiny.  IMHO, they are stupid cars with gargantuan blind spots.  These cars will get you killed when you try to change lanes on the interstate and can't see the big @$$ Kenworth right beside you.

 

I love Mopar, but all the latest muscle cars are simply too dangerous to drive, you can't see anything, much less anything over the hood.  They're really bad.

 

I'll take a much slower ZJ or XJ, in one of those, I can actually see the traffic around me.

The Mustang and Camaro blind spots are definitely awful....... but I gotta disagree about the Challenger.  When we went to Vegas and participated in the Drive SRT Racing Experience (comes with the purchase of our SRT8 Grand) I decided to make it a full Mopar experience and rented a Challenger RT for the week we were out in Vegas.  I absolutely LOVED that car.  Had an absolute blast driving it and never once had a concern over seeing around in traffic or lane changes.  Yes, big blind spots, but it's windows are bigger than the Camaro and Mustang.

 

Drove the Challenger, 300C, Charger and Grand Cherokee SRT8 vehicles on the racing track, road course, autocross course.  The Charger was the worst to see out of and consequently the worst handling.  Bad pushing (understeer) in the corners.  Challenger was too easy to break the rear traction loose on corners.  The 300C was simply amazing in all regards.  And of course the Grand was far and above the other cars.  Amazing road course SUV.

 

But I digress........ :D

Too big?  Man, I'm 6 foot  260 lbs.  I'm technically too big for my MJ's but I fit nicely in the Challenger.  The Camaro..... yeah, I'm too big for that one.

Nope, just the current year SRT8 cars.  The only SRT10 now is the Viper...... and only Viper owners get to play on the track with those.

 

 

But yeah...... it does NOT suck to be fortunate enough to have an SRT8 Grand around.......   (And no, that's not my Brute in the background.....) :D

Seeing as how I was the release engineers for the mirrors, I will have to disagree.  lol   I've driven hundreds of Challengers, once everything is adjusted properly, the blind spots aren't too bad.   The worst one is over the hood towards the passenger side, since you think the edge of the buldge is the edge of the car, but there is really another 2 feet to the edge.
