Dando
I'm gonna roll in herculiner, I'm taping it off now. Which tape line do you prefer? Trying to decide what looks better and I am leaning more towards the one that goes further down the bed side, what do you think?

Strokermjcomanche
I agree with the 1st. However drop it down at the end to follow the lower line as it wraps around the bedside
Dando
I'm struggling with this decision because while I agree that normally I would chose the first option but the second option lines up real nice with the lines on the tailgate then too. Strokermjcomanche
Right thats why I said as it goes around the bedside drop it down then you can continue the Line on the tailgate.
91Pioneer
#1, but as you come around the back for the tailgate, drop it down slightly. Or do #1 as you have it and put on a tailgate cap.
87MJTIM
I got mine rhinolined. The shop took it down to the lower crease. I think it looks good.

I would not do the roll-on outside of the bed......rolled bedliner looks like crap in my not so humble opinion.
87MJTIM
Yes, it was sprayed on. I did not do it.
Jeep Driver
Yes, it was sprayed on. I did not do it. That's probably the route I will go, got sticker shock though at the $500 quote from LineX. Better come with a kiss and a reacharound.
dscowell
Start with the first one and see how you like it you can always go farther down if you so wish to do so
64 Cheyenne
Still kicking myself in the a** for throwing away those black bed rails I had...not that I'd ever put them on...just sayin.Don't know if they were aftermarket but I've seen em on a few MJs, Nostalgic MJ parts I shouldn't have trashed. :wall:

Hillcountrymac
How much was the Herculiner? I think it looks good.
Dando
The herculiner kit costs around $90. I used some of my oreilys dollars to bring the cost down to around $60. The kit included a gallon of herculiner which turned out to be just around enough for my short bed, you would need more for a long bed.

Dando
After finishing I am very glad I sent further down too. Forgot to post some pics of the tailgate closed to show why I decided to go to the lower body line.
ParadiseMJ
Call me crazy...I didn't want any roll-on OUT side the bed at all. I have diamond plate bed rails and tailgate now.
zackcj7
What's the trick to getting the masking tape lines strait on the outside of the bed?
Dando
What's the trick to getting the masking tape lines strait on the outside of the bed? I don't want to come off as being cocky but I really took my time and I happen to do a lot of interior/exterior house painting so I've managed to get pretty decent at taping things off.
