My brother was moving out of state and couldn't bring it with him. So I bought it off him, tables have turned now, he's getting it back since I'm moving lol.

Comanches are just cool, best looking truck ever built. Love the squared body lines and the long bed ( just about as big as a full size truck ). Besides the 4.0 in a Comanche gives them more power to weight ratio than a chevy truck with a 454 ss. Right now I have 4 of them and a 48 Willys P/U wich is like the grandfather of the MJ.

I bought mine new (1991), I was doing a lot home remodeling / hauling for my house back then and was replacing a little Mitsubishi turbo-diesel which only had a 900# payload. The Metric Ton was was the best capacity in the mid size line up. I still drop 1500# of gravel in the back every now and then and haul it home. It's also fun to dick with how it looks! :)

4.0 engine is best in class

Economical to maintain

4x4

Excellent for local towing compared to other vehicles that need bigger engines to do the same job

Like the design & looks of the truck

Bought mine for my son so even though there will be nicer rides in his high school parking lot, he'll have the coolest.

I kick myself for not having bought one sooner, I always liked the styling over any other small truck.

Cuz I didn't know they existed when I found one for free, with a blown 2.5, and after some reading realized I could just get a cheap 2.5l XJ off Craigslist for a motor. So I found one for 150 clams and after a couple days work, I had me a good looking truck, and it came with gorgeous m/t's to boot! And obviously since I hadn't heard of it, it was quite uncommon to say the least, so the rarity or wow factor is more than just a bonus. An old lady walking past in the library parking lot stopped at the tailgate of my truck just as I was about to get in and remarked to me that my truck looked great and she didn't know Jeep had ever made such a truck. Made everything worth it.

Best of the Desert, Laughin Hare Scrambles, umteen years ago. They had a lifted MJ, it was love at first sight.

I bought mine because, it was cheap, $500.

It was XJ based.

It was a 1992, which means rare but compatible with my mountain of 92-98 XJ parts.

Easy to work on compared to just about anything else.

Quick for a truck, will get quicker after I switch axles this summer.

Hauls a good sized load for its size. It has a Dana 44 and has nearly metric ton equivalent springs.

Handles very well for a truck.

Just plain fun to drive and I don't see myself coming the other way hardly ever like with a GM or Ford.

A. I like the way they look.

B. I like that they are Jeeps.

C. I like that it's unlikely I'm going to see 15 trucks that look just like mine every day.

D. I like that they are ruggedly built, reliable (if properly maintained) and engines last nearly forever.

E. I like that there is a ready supply of most parts from Cherokees at the JY.

F. I have the same compulsive MJ disorder that everyone on this forum has.

G. They're just cool, sick, unique, rad, fine, (insert your own word).

I got mine as a gift from my brother, It belonged to a delivery driver when I used to work at an auto parts warehouse and try to strike a deal with him but it never went through. My brother showed up at my house in it  one day excited as hell to hand me the keys because he knew how bad I wanted it it's been my pride and joy ever since I love EVERYTHING about the truck.
