On my 89 I went with the Soa and corresponding coils because I wanted to be as big as possible (Hey we're all young once right?) I'm trying to stay away from gigantic on my 87. I've been looking for a lift but not finding anything to impressive for our Mj's. So far I have found Rustys, Rough Country, and Rubicon Express make lifts for us but they all appear to be basic BB. Rustys does offer full packs but after my last set of Rustys packs I will be staying away from them. I want to build this truck more long the low center of gravity lines so I don't want to go about 3.5". What are some suggestions you guys have?

I'm interested in Hell Creek Suspension. Can someone give me the lowdown on Rough Country products? I have heard that they are not of the highest quality comparing to Rubicon Express, TNT, etc.

they are a good middle of the road lift kit. you can buy the leaf packs separately if you want a high-end lift for the front.

Depending on what perches you use usually 5"-5.5". Most people pair SOA with 6.5" front lift for a level truck (no rake).

and why is that? i wanna keep the rear end that i have i been told its a 44 with limited slip and i don't wanna cut or mess something up if i don't have too such as a weld

You don't even have to remove the old perches. Just weld new ones on on the opposite side of the tube, leaving the old ones in place.

Bolt in SOA works just fine, the downside is they cost more and they usually retain the stock shock mount so you don't gain quite as much ground clearance.

I don't know the rules for jeep speed but I would imagine it would be fine. I have the RRO bolt on kit on my truck and I've never had an issue with it, I have it bolted to my d35 but I plan to weld it on once I upgrade the rear axle.

I don't know about you, but I don't wanna have the only thing holding my axle on to be something bolted on. The perches could slip or a bolt could break, an there goes the axle

I'm gonna guess you have never seen a bolt in SOA. The perch isn't slipping because its keyed into the factory perch and the 4 large bolts holding each one on make the tiny u-bolts under your axle look silly.

The axles not going anywhere.

i know basics of jeepspeed but that one i don't know all i know is they have to be stock engine and axle wise i believe don't qoute me on it but u can lift and wheel travel is limited to 15-17 inches in the rear and 15 in front i believe. cuz if i where to get it i was thinking rocky road and the lift they have for 600

That's the lift I started with,my truck went down the road but I don't think I would have raced with it as is.

It was a good starting point but as my MJ evolves it has less and less of the RRO kit on it.

If you want to save money I would suggest doing your homework and piecing a kit together.
