Who's got the most tires in their backyard?

Or anywhere else on their property. Places of business don't count. Neither does anything mounted to a vehicle. I think I got this contest licked. :brows:

Ok, a little explaination. Just a couple weeks ago there were only 8. Four junkyard tires on ford rims for the 88 when it's being towed and 4 spares for Jeep axles (previously these were just leftovers from the 88, but I sold them and bought a set of Canyons). Then I got 3 BFGs from the junkyard to resell, picked up 4 free Vette rims to sell, moved the 90's tires outside, and just now picked up 4 MTRs that will be used on the 90 for wheeling (going to be mounted on the Canyons). Eventually it'll be back down to 8, but for the moment it's at 24. Good thing the only neighbor that can see them is a good friend. :D

1. junkyard tires for towing the 88

2. Canyons with 235s

3. 31s off of 90 (no axles at the moment)

4. three 31" BFGs

5. 85 Vette rims

6. spare from under 90

7. 31" MTRs

I gots class.....mine are stored in the crawl space under my house, not in the backyard (which is full of lawnmowers, axles, and other crap :D )

I'm not on a distributor level like you guys, but I do have a full set of 235's mounted for the MJ (selling them off this weekend, tho), a full set of 175/65's mounted for the Escort, 3 old mounted 175's I took off the Escort (using the fourth one as a full size spare instead of the stupid donut that came stock), the stupid donut spare, and one old truck tire on a rusted out steel wheel that came with the house when we moved in

The local PD or code enforcement people don't complain to you guys????

After West Nile was found in Chi-town they have been REALLY serious about tires laying about. I got a 'notice' for two tires stood up beside my garage. The stacks I have now are covered by old service station tires covers.

It would take me a good half day to do a full count, but Pete -- I got ya beat in spades. Rough guess is that I'm at around 50 or 60.

Yes, I know for a fact that there have been complaints to the zoning officer. Not about my tires, which can't really be seen either from the road or from the neighbor's house, but about the "junk" Jeeps. Fortunately, I know the zoning officer well enough that he has mentioned it to me. And I have explained to him that the same regulation that says I can't have any unregistered or unused vehicles in my yard also applies to everyone else in town, and also covers: boats, campers, camp trailers, work trucks, and motor homes. And he is well aware that the day I get a formal letter, I unlimer the camera and drive around town taking lots of pictures of other violations.

I don't want to go there, and fortunately neither does he. And the chief complainant (my dear uncle) just moved to another town. :)

I've got about 23... I used to have about 30.

5-35s.

4-P225/75R15 - winter

4-P225/75R15 - summer

4-something or other car tires (my cutlass)

4-other car tires (my dad's)

1-donut spare

1-31x10.5 spare

Luckily now the 35s are slowly being moved out. Then hopefully I'll sell the extra car tires. And the donut spare needs to meet the trash.

Code enforcement is a PITA. They have yet to mess with me, but my Home owners assocaition has. They said something about some swampers I used to have behind the garage. My answer was to move them to the front yard, and place flowering plants in them  and I proceeded to tell them where they could go. I also sent them a copy of the county regulations covering inoperable vehicles on ppls property. As eagle posted it covered everything from cars to boats. Since I live on a private road with a private boat ramp... one of the ppl who lives on this road owns 6 unliscensed boats, and a fewe other items. I told them when they get him to clean up his yard I will clean up mine :D

You think thats bad....I live on base and we arent allowed to have anything close to what yall have visible and they only give us a tiny shed to store everything in. And the biggest thing i "NO MAJOR REPAIRS" in base housing including tire rotation. And you can't have the tires off the ground and be under the vehicle but luckily i can almost sit up under mine to work on it with the tires on the ground. I had to make a gate to pull my truck in my backyard so the Cops can't see me working on it :brows: . Only been caught once and it was doing my front locker and i told the cop so you just want me to leave it like this up on jack stands and the front axle completely apart in the driveway  . So he said i had an hour and hed be back and it had to be done, so it was.

Hey Hot rod ... you wouldnt want to come off of those tsls would you :D

Not right now I don't, that's what I plan on putting on my MJ. I have thought about getting a set of Humvee beadlocks and the 36's that go with them, but I really don't wanna go down in tire size. 8)

My BIL and SIL used to live on Luke AFB. And I didn't know anything about the 'no repair work' crap in base housing. We were visiting, and I got up an was out changing the oil their van, for letting us stay with them for a week. The base security pulls up, and tells me 'You aren't allowed to do that when you live in base housing' I told him 'I don't live in base housing, but my taxes paid for it, and your salary so have a nice day' he wasn't sure what to say and left. About a week later, he stopped by and hassled my BIL about it, when he was washing his lawnmower in the yard.

Right there is why the city zoning officer NEVER issues me violation, even though I have had an unlicensed vehicle in my drive the entire 5 years I have lived here. He came by threatening me once, I listed 6 off the top of my head(including his son). That I would mention infront of the code enforcement board if he issued a citation. I also told him I would present pictures and a list of every single violation in town if he pressed the matter. So I basically get 'one' free violation.

But here even in the county they have code enforcement. Unmounted tires is the BIGGIE here. That and rabies shots. They claim its mosquitos is why. I have a feeling though, its the old county owned dump that catches fire once a year.
