neohic Posted February 27 Author Posted February 27 It’s been gone over, but you know you did good when you keep turning around when you park your truck.
neohic Posted March 9 Author Posted March 9 I’ve been thinking about towing the CJ because I apparently like making questionable decisions. The cooler is from the ZJ I pulled the axles from along with the bracket. This was a no-drill install which was nice. I tapped into the cool line coming out of the radiator. Quick touch up with a little black and it disappears behind the grill. I’ve never had any transmission cooling issues, but I’ve also never really pulled anything with this truck over a long distance. Figured it couldn’t hurt and I had everything on hand.
neohic Posted April 13 Author Posted April 13 After getting back from Moab I noticed a puddle of brake fluid under the left rear wheel. I swapped out both of the wheel cylinders today along with finally compounded and quick waxed the truck for the first time in a very long while. Mmm… always worth that extra look back.

neohic Posted May 22 Author Posted May 22 Went for a bit of a drive today and met @cord367, his dad, and paid a visit to J.O.E. Great to see that old truck! They’re doing an awesome job updating the truck and they welcomed me to take some leftovers. These are the old axles from my old XJ. No idea what’s next for them, but I caught myself getting sentimental over how many rigs they’ve been in and how many miles I would’ve put on them. As for the Eliminator, it rode home on the bumps. … not like they had far to go before hitting them.
89 MJ Posted May 22 Posted May 22 Maybe some air shocks to add some load capacity? Then deflate them when you’re not hauling?

Just the axles and springs in the bed made it ride that low? Wow!

Meh… I didn’t even notice until I got home. I’d rather keep the Sachs! 24 minutes ago, JZLAJeep said: Just the axles and springs in the bed made it ride that low? Wow! … and the lowered suspension.
cord367 Posted May 25 Posted May 25 hell yea the eliminator is super sick and clean On 5/22/2026 at 1:51 PM, neohic said: Went for a bit of a drive today and met @cord367, his dad, and paid a visit to J.O.E. neohic Posted June 3 Author Posted June 3 I finally got around to cleaning up my shop some and I forgot to put the truck’s “puppy pads” back under it. To my surprise this morning, there were no fresh leaks! The rear main started leaking from sitting for years but that looks like it came around! Another leak was coming from the oil pressure sender adapter. That got replaced recently. I can’t say I remember the last time I noticed that one of my Jeeps didn’t leak anything!

Smokeyyank Posted June 4 Posted June 4 At this point in Jeep ownership I'm more worried if there wasn't a leak.
neohic Posted June 6 Author Posted June 6 Took the truck to a cars and coffee this morning. I was definitely the odd one out. The event grew to a few dozen vehicles by the time I left. Eh… wasn’t quite my vibe. Kinda felt like high school where everyone had their cliches to hang with. JDMs… local beaters… the Corvette guys… Not a whole lot of a lowered all wheel drive Jeep crowd in the area.
neohic Posted Saturday at 08:04 PM Author Posted Saturday at 08:04 PM I did the same cars and coffee event this morning and it was a way better turn out! Had to style out the truck a bit too.
