literally. this was the mj I was doing a 4wd conversion on in trade for a j4k. unfortunately, the owner sold it to nick, the head man at our local gm dealer...he had it painted for his 17 year old daughter (who has no respect for what it is  )

Thanks guys, you gave me an excuse to try out splitting topics. Worked ok the second time. The first time I'm not sure where the posts went to. :hmm: But I seem to have it down now and can split off individual posts instead of just deleting them. Good to know.

Anywho, sorry to go all boy scout on you, but please try to understand that younger kids do read this stuff. It was funny mind you  , but still a bit over the line. Also I'd imagine the chances are pretty good that she might one day find this site (we are on the internet ya know ;) ) and most of those comments were not exactly keeping with rule # 1.

I painted a 78 f250 4x4 one time for a buddy who was building it for his soon to be wife. Her family owned a dairy farm and she wanted a truck she could use on the farm. Turned out to be a nice truck.....4 inch lift,400m with a 4spd,4:10 gears with 33's, all new sheet metal. when I asked him what color we were painting it he said..."pink :ack: I guess." :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: He took alot of grief every time someone saw him driving the f2sissy.

So did you finish working on the guys jeep after he sold this now pink one he was gonna give you a good deal on??????????? :(

no, never took delivery on it to begin the work. so, it's still 2wd. but I'm thinking about talking to nick about that and see if he'd be interested in trading the rollbar for my time in swapping to 4wd, and would give me whatever the parts cost (not much) to do it. it's a 91 so high output and it's pretty damn clean.

My daughter (who is 10) would love that truck. I have already had her driving mine (in the fields). She is a Jeep girl through and through.

My youngest daughter is 12 and while I don't know of she'd like it pink, she would love to drive my MJ when she gets her license, but only if I lift it another 2" and it's sitting on at least 33s.

Yet every time we were about to get on a slope (sideways, forward, backwards) at Badlands she bailed on me...
