Today I got a fiberglass topper onto the 87' so I could store all the assembled MJ parts for both trucks inside.

Now they are in one place, clean, dry, sorted, and locked. Best of all they are out of the family room floor.

Because.....Happy wife....Happy life.

That argent grey AEV wheel is my favorite.

Kind of cold this weekend so I didn't get much done. We needed more floor space for projects coming into the shop, so we set the topper on the truck for the first time since paint:

Also mounted a Warn M8000 in the front bumper, but I am not happy with the relationship of the fairlead to the the hole in the winch plate. Also, mounting the control box and lights could be problematical.

I guess I need to clean my camera lens also:

Still working on the XJ before I can go back to the MJ. Got the transmission all buttoned up to find out the neutral safety switch is bad. It will start in neutral, but not in park. So I got to swap that one over from the old transmission.

have not installed drive shafts yet. Currently have the rear bumper half off and then my daughter interrupted me. Need to remove rear bumper to get to the trailer hitch bolts. Remove trailer hitch to be able to get the shackles off to install the lift shackles. Then install the class IV hitch off the park XJ to replace the class III, and swap the rear bumper over.

And then check the pinion angle, possibly get some degree wedges and play with a bunch of weight and the fork lift to cycle the suspension and measure for a rear driveshaft.

Done with the XJ for now, so back to the Pig.

Got the rollers on my fairlead rolling again, changed the oil, installed speaker in passenger door and speaker grill in door cover, and a hockey stick style armrest because Sarah complained about missing the grab handle when I swapped them to the Purple People Eater.

And did I mention last time I worked on it I replaced the passenger side mirror (again)?

Also did an oil change.

Also received from UPS, 4-6" track bar, and new bigger drop pitman arm. All from Rough Country.

Shocks are on ther way then 6" lift :D :D :D comanche.gif

Jeff, degreaser and some paint! Thats an order haha

I want to take a moment to give a HUGE thank you to Drahcir495. Rich gave me a hand Saturday, to early Sunday morning getting the clutch installed and the trans back in the MJ. Without him I wouldnt be a fraction of the way towards getting the MJ painted. Put the correct oil in the BA10 (SAE 20w-50) and it shifts like a dream. I was also able to hang the 97+ front end, strip the exterior, trim for the flat BWer's, and get some of the interior taken care of. The MJ gets dropped off at the painters this week! Rich, thank you again man!

Today was a very, very proud day for me and the MJ. I dropped her off at the painters to get sprayed Mango Tango/Toxic Orange and it will be done in a week! Here is how she looked today sitting in their lot. The Jeep is happy as sh*t to finally be rid of the hideous 80's Toyota Corolla paint color.

Lots of small stuff to attend to, but it should be back on the road this afternoon. Replaced the CPS yesterday and it's alive again!

In the last few days we installed the new vinyl flooring, got most of the interior put back and even had all the screws and fasteners with nothing left over. Something to be said for tagging and bagging. It doesn't seem like it at first, but it sure saves time.

This afternoon I have to install the rear license plate bracket and mount my auxiliary fuse panel to hook up the extra lights, future CB etc. The fog and flood lights are on backorder, but the wiring should be there when they arrive.

Phase II will involve a SOA lift, gears and an ARB compressor with lockers when my bank account starts to recover.

Bumper, winch and D2 driving lights mounted:

The money shot after seat was re-installed:
