pizzaman09 Posted September 29 Posted September 29 I needed to make a work trip up to VT, 8 hr drive each way from Erie, PA. Instead of grabbing a rental car I decided to drive the MJ. It has been a delightful trip, particularly this time of year driving through the Adirondack mountains of upstate NY. The MJ has handled the trip well, I did lots of 70+ freeway driving and a few hours of hucking it around the sweeping turns of the mountain state routes. I bet I surprised more than one person keeping up with them in far more modern vehicles. Lots of thumbs up from others on the highway and the folks at the customer I visited loved the truck too. Rolled over 282k miles. Even achieved fuel economy over entire tanks of 19.9, 21.4 and 22.4 mpg, of which I consider very good with the way I've driven.
Tsalagi Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Used it to take my dogs for boarding. Had to take a pic cause of the awesomeness.
fiatslug87 Posted October 26 Posted October 26 All three of my trucks have XJ bucket seat covers and don’t have the carpet piece on the back so I added it to the ‘88. It’s carpet from old door panels.

I think the best I've seen is 17-18 mpg. That and install my tonneau cover, add rear wheel skirts, and maybe I should just take the plunge and get one of these and custom print an entire lower body splash guard / air diverter. Then I should hopefully get into the 20s lol
watchamakalit Posted Saturday at 10:38 AM Posted Saturday at 10:38 AM Took the wife for a birthday dinner last night. (sorry no pics). Hoping to get it to the squirrel woods for a little tree rat shoot this afternoon. Trying to enjoy it before the salt trucks make me put it away.
