Oizarod115
i don't know how many of you live in GA (i heard VA had the same problem last week) but we have absolutely NO gas here. stations that have it are few and far between and gouging prices 30-50 cents. its so bad that i drove past 10 stations on the way home and not a single one had gas. its probly 1 in 15-20 stations that have anything but diesel. its crazy here. when a station gets gas its 4-5 cars deep at all pumps (and around here in the metro area stations rarely have less than 10 pumps. 20 being the norm) you can see people lining up as the tankers are pulling in before they even put the price back on the sign. this is really getting crazy. my stepdad sat in lines at two stations today waiting to fill his work truck only for the first one to run out and the second ran out at 1/2 tank in his truck. luckily i use one tank a week and i fill it every weekend so i'm good for now but come sat. i'll be riding around lookin for it.

I remember when katrina hit, diesel was 80 cents less a gallon than RUG.
Pete M
Compared with v6 Libby owners I know, the CRD Libby easily makes up for any extra cost at fillup. :D
Sir Sam
Compared with v6 Libby owners I know, the CRD Libby easily makes up for any extra cost at fillup. :D Yup. There diesel is expensive, but also note that it is only 18% more expensive than RUG. Thats still about a 12% fuel savings.

Silver88
Just another rip-off being perpetrated by the fuel supply chain. We've got lots of gas here in SE Pa., and at $3.50 a gal. I heard last week on the radio that in some parts of NC they were charging $7 a gal. A pox on them all I say!
BLHTAZ
No problems here in FL either :dunno:
CEThomas
Everytime they shut down the golf cost, they tell us in the midwest that most all the gas comes from the golf cost and that is why we have to pay more for gas. Also have seen that all the gas in FL is from the golf cost  Now we and FL have all the gas we need and I have seen over the past couple days where you can not get gas in areas of TN, GA, AL, NC, SC & VA  Me thinks something is not right
BREEZE1
heck diesel is cheaper than gas by a few cents. well it was last time i got gas. i also had to find gas a few times. the ol duststang don't like not being able to find gas, its risky!
jtdesigns
No gas in NC, but like Brent said plenty in FL... It's a crock.. Glad I still have a few Jerry cans full... Good thing too cause I'm bout out in the truck....
Akula69
We have not had a problem here, even though the news screamed about how gas would be in short supply, and the price would skyrocket due to the refineries in Texas going down for the storm. The price here went from 3.56 RUG to about 3.70 RUG for a few days, now back to 3.60 RUG. Didn't matter much to me as I had about 140 gallons in the skid tank for the storm, and now have to pump it into the cars before it goes bad. pingpong
IN my area as the storms hit the coast gas was 3.40 ish. After the storms hit it was just shy of 4 dollars. So needless to say my driving habits changed to reflect. Now gas is back at 3.50 ish. In my area ppl who buy large amounts of fuel and let them sit have been having issues with FI and carbs getting gummed up. The general consensus is that the ethanol in fuel is mixing with the humidity (water) and cause it either to become milky or syrupy. I have been adding stabil to any of my rigs and lawn equipment that sit over 30 days. Also thinking about draining allmy tanks on rigs I don't use. Its either that or finding a way to circulate the fuel every few days so it doesnt happen
69CamaroSS
first i've heard about this. i just got gas about an hour ago and it was at 3.49. I'm in MN and we havn't had any problems. i'll agree when people hear call bull$#!& about the whole oil thing. not that i know where the bull$#!& lies, but I'm sure i'm not the only one that thinks something fishy is goin on
JeepcoMJ
I didn't realize this was going on...no shortages here, though prices did go up to almost 4 bucks a gallon for a bit. I drive a company vehicle 5 days a week, so the gas prices don't really affect me (our overhead is low, profit is high, so 40 cents means didly squat). now, on to figure out what to do with the gas in my truck...it's been on Full for two weeks now :brows:
DirtyComanche
Amusingly enough, my prices have dropped somewhat. Diesel is a little cheaper than 87 for the first time in a while. It's still freaking high though.
90MJext
In my area there is no gas on the west end of town, but I've heard if you go towards lower populated areas you can find it.
