  1. At my dads house, of the 3 boats, my choice (as well as my dad's) for the boat to day-trip with would have to be our 25.5ft SeaFox Center Console with a dual-engine Evinrude 250 2 stroke setup hanging off the back. That boat has some balls, and rides smooth over rough waters.
  2. Definitely. You got yourself a keeper there. If you don't get it, I will personally hunt you down, and kick you in the nuts with my steel toed boots. Twelve times. Not nine, TWELVE!
  3. What kind of boat you sporting?
  4. Hmm... tombstone...I think thats what that big read headstone with a tunrie-knob-thing on the front is that is sitting buried in my garage... I agree, what is a job? I haven't been to one of those in over a week, such a long time...
  5. Not something I would regularly check out, but definitely worth it.
  6. Spence is definitely an awesome guy. When I ordered the other week, I had an email in like 5 minutes! Ships faster than I can order, and has a nice and high quality product. I like how his stickers have the clear application wrap. It makes alignment SO MUCH easier. Not to mention, the little touch of personal thank you notes, now that's what services are all about!
  7. No problem. Hope the emblems are in acceptable condition. I need a new wire brush wheel for my drill press, or one for my bench grinder so I can actually clean up the aluminum and steel badges better.
  8. Theres a nice CTS-V sitting in my JY :D

    Ebay

The seller apparently doesnt know about the feature of "more than one availible" like there could be 6 availible, you are only getting one, sort of thing. if they use the feature, it would make eBay much less cluttered.
  10. WTF??? That's our local club's tradition!!!! Our mascot is a blow up sex toy sheep with everyone's signatures on it.
  11. I see keeping up to the firewall a benefit. More space, more aerodynamics as well. Aesthetically, it carrys better looks leaving the front doors and windshield in place. If you look at these pictures, and look at the fronts of the trailers the big "blank" space on the white one is boring, and in my opinion, a bit ugly, as the windows are non-existent and break up the design too much. My design carries the XJ lines, continuously around the entire trailer, and the windows being present, keep it "good looking" as well as less brick like.
  12. I know about that one, but he is towing a brick. The front is flat as can be, so his fuel mileage will go to the outhouse when he is towing that trailer. I would be having a little more interior storage space, and not so much of a brick.
  13. My $.02 : 1. This is going to be one heavy trailer. 2. It's going to be a little tricky attaching the tongue and having it be strong enough- without looking like something from a Jeff Foxworthy routine. Not all that heavy, I don't think... It would probably be a good 700lbs lighter than a complete Cherokee. As for the tongue, it would essentially be flipped on it's side, the old uniframe cut off, and a new, thicker, more rugged frame built, upon which the body would bolt onto. Aerodynamics??? Psh... Why do you think I would be leaving that windshield area in tact? Bricks don't work too well. But that windshield is roughly a 45* angle back, so it will improve things drastically. A triangular box on the tongue could also help by splitting air to the sides, not to mention, add more storage, better yet, build it fully insulated up front, and lockable, and theres a beer cooler.
  14. Mother Effin' Buy! :headpop:
  15. Noted. If there isn't anything good from my top JY, I do know of another local JY with several locations that might have something as they more or less specialize in jeeps. The guy at that place is just a fool to deal with though.

    Me new here

Got that right. Who are you kidding? :D Oh, and if you sit on the tan bench, just keep to the passenger side.
  18. I should have mentioned, the one has a hole in the block, the others, I'm not sure... I will definitely try to see if the other two runs or if theres any salvageable parts that I can get for you. The diesel XJ's never really interested me, thats why I didn't know much about them. Oh, need a midget race chassis? theres 2 of them, one even has a fuel cell, which I'm going to pick up, good for making toys out of, although, they could easily be adapted to a buggy.
  19. Agreed. Just crack the nut loose, and then turn the shock itself. Much faster, and easier.
  20. only 2 work at once... So, it's still four eyes! Friggin mutant... LOL Can that be said with kid's in the room :D yep, i'm 20 :D Same here, but only for like 3 more weeks... :D
  21. it could easily get replaced with a piece of steel, or Lexan or something... EDIT: Oh, and this would not actually go on the trails, just to the camp sites, or trail heads, and then parked.
  22. I have 15+ XJ's to choose from at the JY, most with straight bodies, several had that dinky 4cyl, and blown engines or other mechanical problems, I think 3 or so had front end damage. I think 3 are diesels, but they are rusty pancakes. (not crushed, it just sounded funny). 2 actually run and move under their own power, but just really rough. When I go back in a few days to get some cab corners for me and 1999MJ, I'm going to do another run through of them all, and pick one I like, and have it set aside, when nobody can pick anything from it. The best part is I can get any of them for free. The axle would be moved forward to put the weight ratio closer to the 60 front, 40 rear. It wouldn't be too heavy, and the load would be fairly distributed evenly. The hatch wouldn't really have too much besides maybe something behind each of the wheel wells on either side. The mattress would run probably the length of the inside, with the dash essentially being the "bed header". Maybe swap the gauge cluster out for an alarm clock or something, keep a radio in the stock location, on board battery, hidden in the driver or passenger foot well. Possibly use the idea from the NAXJA trailer thread, and put a water tank in the old fuel tank's place.
  23. If it's going to remain street worthy, don't weld either the front or rear. I would personally say lock the front first, with a selectable locker, as the front is what meets the rocks first, It has to pull you over. you figure a tire with no power does nothing to get you over. once the front is up and over, the rear is doing a bit less work, IMHO. That's my two pennies.
  24. That sounds like me, But a pre-fabbed chassis... Sure there is, Check this out!
